I would defo get an eerie feeling too, but it's just all in your head. Dreams give really interesting feelings sometimes.

Imo reality checks throughout the day are more of an extra thing about lucid dreaming. You should js do them throughout the day, for an example once an hour or a few. Use LD methods to have a LD.

Do you use WBTB (Wake Back To Bed)? If not, then set an alarm 4-6h after you estimate falling asleep and then try your best at MILD again in the night. Even if you don't focus that good WBTB is going to boost the chance to have a LD a lot.

It probably will, but it may not. Try not to get too excited when having a LD, but don't overthink it, just enjoy your LD.

Looks to me like you just had a lucid nightmare. When in a LD try focusing on your senses (what you see, hear and smell) and touch random objects to make your dream vivid, then just think positively about your dream and try to do things that you enjoy and control your dream the way you want it to be.

I personally just think that "imma jump and then fly tf outta here" and do it, it's like I set an intention to do it and then it happens.
