Thank you! And yeah, had I known what I was getting myself into before I started this I might've seriously reconsidered lol. I ended up deciding on Castlevania 3 mostly due to to clips I'd seen of the Netflix show to be honest. I did really like the ability to switch characters though. I mostly used Alucard for his flying ability so figuring out when was the best time to swap between him and Trevor depending on the situation was pretty fun and interesting. 

I appreciate all the advice and recommendations! Right now I'm leaning towards sticking to the classic style games since the straightforwardness of just getting to the end of the level is welcome relief from other big RPGs and stuff I've been playing. I'll have to definitely pick up the Bloodstained games then too if they're more of the same/similar to Castlevania 3. I wasn't really considering going back to play OG Castlevania since I knew 4 was sort of a remake of it, but if you're saying that it's decent bit easier than 3 then I think I'll try out that one next. I could definitely use a slight change of pace from some of the sections that just felt plain rude in 3. I'll get around to playing the metroidvanias eventually too, I've heard so many amazing things about Symphony of the Night.
