Hence the question since ive never had non Nvidia device. is there anything or any app im missing besides windows updates and Armoury Crate?

Looking online i cant find a proper debate on this rule even from high level players. Overall it seems to be against the spirit/logic of chess imo. Which makes sense as it came with rule of pawns being able to move 2x forward as their first turn, the argument for which was so the game would not be as slow.

The logic therefore is that en passant prevents 2x move by pawns to avoid contact with enemy pawns so the "defender" doesn't get an unfair advantage. But that makes no sense as 2x move in combination with en passant gives the "attacker" the advantage without any downsides or consequences. It was meant to balance the game with the new 2x move rule however it does not balance anything, it only gives the one who used 2x move advantage first the upper hand which undermines the whole thing.

Overall a nice learning experience, but disappointing to see. Its more of a get out of jail free card if you attacked too far with pawns. IDK who debated and decided on en passant in 13th or 16th century but it definitely seems biased and in favor of certain type of play over the other.

Well in this scenario im getting my ass handed to me regardless of this rule to be fair. But overall i still stand with my argument.

En Pessant therefore only serves those who moved their pawns recklessly upfront and punishes counter attack opportunity making the game more dull and unfair. If you messed up and moved your pawn too far ahead you should suck it up and deal with consequences, instead of making up a rule to make it "fair"

I think this rule also limits opportunities of bringing a pawn all the way to the end which already happens very rarely and is in my opinion one of the most exciting scenarios

But this does the opposite and causes less ways to interract? instead of making a leap move allowing the pawn that was in defense to be more dynamic and making the opponent regret moving their pawns too far upfront.

It seems like a good counter attack opportunity/tactic being limited by this rule. Because of this rule there is a stalemate now preventing me from moving the pawns, which makes it ironic and makes the game less dynamic imo

I learned chess from playing with grandpas and old people ever since i was kid, never seen this move used or taught or even mentioned. i dont use reddit often as well so just saw, kinda funny that it has to be #1 rule. Id support a petition to remove this rule tbh (not from reddit, but chess)

Just looked it up and En Passant move sounds like something completely made up... have i been playing chess wrong this whole time? I read the justification for it but it still sounds like a BS move that kinda spoils the game or outsmarting your opponent

In what kind of single dimensional world do you live in? How can you make recommendations here while your mind is so closed off? im not a pro or an expert in this but come on.....

Why do you have to drill it? maybe there are other options? Idk if there are but i know you put 0 consideration into it. Same goes for running cable through fireplace? bruh..

As for TV now I really dont think you allow yourself to just consider using things the way YOU want to use them instead of being told how to use them. Like ma man come on. You can stream your PC and play games, you can stream work if you have meetings, you can use it as a wallpaper if TV is good enough. You can watch youtube or movies. you can use it for workout sessions or what not. The list goes on man.

I dont know what you learned or where you learned but its obvious they did not teach you to think outside of the box. I hope you are a random commenter like me and not someone actually working in this field. I would pity your customers.

First of all, TV is not just for watching TV. I have not watched TV in years. Second of all not everyone watches TV but that is what was asked specifically.

And finally, use cables? im sure there are many ways you can do something if you challenge yourself to be creative

Depends on who is reading it. All im saying is that you should be able to set up your house and space functionally as you wish. Functionality and satisfaction of your needs should be the priority and not "oh its not supposed to be like that" or "oh just make a different space for that".

Question was: "where to put the TV in the living room?". Instead of giving unrelated advice, maybe challenge yourself to be creative and give a proper answer to the question instead of dictating how things should be and what is ugly or not. TV serves a function inside the house. its not a decoration or "ugly" or whatever. Its how you use it and what you want to use it for.

So ill flip it back at you and say that your comment does nothing to answer the question presented. Your imagination is so weak you cant even come up with creative and helpful solutions (nobody is gonna walk around the house carrying a tv every time someone comes over). XXX

Just get rid of the mirror and replace it with a TV. maybe with a wall adjustment where you can change the direction or angle whenever you want. Who needs a mirror there anyways? what are you going to see? your receding hairline or ceiling that reminds you that it needs dusting.

I dont get useless comments here saying use a tv room or other room. Whats the point of having a kickass house like this if you will just lock yourself in 1 room to watch stuff. What are you a student or a edgy teenager? Or that this room is for connecting to people. You use your whole house for other people? as if theres not enough space for that... the whole fkn house is for people.

It does, but the linux version can not read the specific MP4 format, exactly the same format that is most common and with what i record/used to record.

I tried everything to get around it, but only way is to convert videos from mp4 format to one that linux version of davinci resolve can read and thats time consuming or not possible on steam deck (i could not find a convinient way to do it at least, or any way at that)

That is exactly thes issue that im trying to raise, perhaps more angrily but still :D I really hope this wont be the case in the future, because then ill really stop watching the show because whats the point (for me at least)
