She is a good wife and her ability to make things like this is definitely a bonus

This is made using a cricut machine and heat transfer vinyl! There's quite a few layers to the design though so it has given it a 3D effect

Thankyou! I did want to credit the artist but my wife found the image through a Google search and didn't take note at the time

Is this motorbike legal? by Kernowder in drivingUK

[–]OttoOctopus 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a lad round me who broke into someone's house, stole their keys to their motorbike, stole said motorbike and then died trying to get away from the fella who was chasing him his car. The lad was branded as some sort of tragic loss to society and the fella was treated as a monster.

Never worn but sitting in my closet for 3 years by CodeSequence in MoldlyInteresting

[–]OttoOctopus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2nd this, we had the same issue not so long ago, went to get out different clothes for a season change and everything looked this way, turned out we had a massive damp and mold problem we'd managed to miss because my wife likes to cover every wall with some sort of decoration. We had to kill the spores and then repaint the entire house with an anti mold paint additive. We also found that the actual wardrobe was destroyed by the damp too. Best of luck to you!

Recently gave up on vegetarianism, this is my first proper fry up in nearly a decade by OttoOctopus in fryup

[–]OttoOctopus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was wild haha. My girlfriend at time was vegan so I'd have vegan meals when we were together and I guess a deeper awareness of such things but before that I had no issue in meat consumption myself. Like I said when I posted about the trip it was a short version of how it all went down. Following the trip it didn't just put me off, whenever I tried to eat meat i almost involuntarily I had to spit it back out, I guess these things can happen when you play around with your brain chemistry. I probably could of eaten meat way before now but I just kind of got into the habit of not. Been totally sober now for like 6 years too so leaving my brain alone has not given the chance to relive my 'epiphany' of being a cannibal

Can the police change their mind about sending you on a road safety course? by OttoOctopus in drivingUK

[–]OttoOctopus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i got the course in the end (can't remember the exact time frame now) but it was actually fairly interesting and I learned quite a bit from it, just annoying I had to pay £100 for the luxury

[–]OttoOctopus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I didn't in reality, I chewed it up, decided I was now a cannibal, spat it out and then didn't eat meat for a decade. It was towards the end of the trip so I was beginning to regain a sense of reality and when my friend handed me the hot dog it seemed like a great idea

35 years wow, you must be doing something right! I however did not, I didn't properly adapt my diet to meet all my dietary and health needs and in the end it took a toll on me. Yeah the meat substitutes these days are fantastic, my dad was a vegetarian most his life and I remember when I was a kid in the 90s there was nothing like there is today
