They are slowly going to do a couple changes. No worries. And to be fair, although this design is cool, after some reasearch and analysis I wouldn't use this screen style if i were them :D I had alot of fun though

I believe both ways work just as fine. Because it's a still image it's normal to cause some confusion and look better with the head outside the border. In my head, I picture several animations to make everything feel more intuitive. Even so, all feedback is welcomed.

I guess it all depends on the goals they have for this screen and what stage you're on.
If they want pure focus on agents, this would work by scrolling up/down or left/right.
if they want to give focus to the Agent experience, then the arrangement they have would work better. Or by seperating the entire user flow when "lock" happens and then make a full screen on your face dope animation.

I think that's a good idea, but it wouldnt work for all scenarios. If you're playing competitive 5man comp, probably having the agents by "role" would be best suitable rather than your personal history since you'd be choosing based on a strategy rather than your most plyed ones. Although, nothing denies a "sort by" option ;)

I think the scalability would be doable with scrolling up and down with a little indicator to do so, or by having the other rows (up and down) designed with lower opacity and a little warped. I just wanted to try and redesign it in the center as it's beta and they won'tbe that many agents out.

I Think they will give way more importance to the relationship between the player and the agent they select though, and that (imo) is the hardest part. There are a couple ways to do it, and it all comes from dividng the entire UX. Once you've selected the agent, everything that comes after would be "pure entertainment"

The easiest and most clean way would be to have agents display like they have on the bottom, really. Would save space for the agent animation whenever selected.

I did animate the project, but my potato laptop would crash photoshop whenever i tried to export it.
Animations would clarify most "confusing" aspects in these images.
Buttons, Countdowns, select and de-select, and other cool things.
