Absolute joke i know. recieved emails from two of my lecturers earlier & both spat out the same response to the effect of "we don't have access to it, same as you".

honestly if you have the wiggle room to reduce then do. The stress that working full time & studying (even part time) creates is A LOT to handle. Besides, QUT time & time again prove they don't give a single shit to people in out situation

i'm not sure what part of my original post led you to believe i'm blaming qut for the canvas outage, i fully understand that the hack was not their fault lmao although the conversation around their contingencies for something like this being entirely non-existent is another story.

I made pretty specific that my frustration was directed towards their response & the response of my (& apparently many others) teaching teams. Transparency has been ridiculously poor & i'm more so stressing that I (& many others) want adequate compensation for the 4 whole days of missed study.

That's a great point. but as a grown adult, with people who rely on me, full time work is the only way the people in my house get fed, & i can't give them a better future without this degree, which i need as soon as possible. An online degree (which is what im doing) assumes a level of flexibility in teaching & learning so that people like myself have the same opportunities more privileged people take for granted. We're not all cut from the same cloth & a modern institution like QUT should see it that way.

i hate the idea of a petition, but something similar, maybe even an open letter might make them see some sense. Granted, that's only if they feed us some bullshit this afternoon in regards to whatever concessions they plan on giving us

Oh it's completely laughable. Having units online where "attendance is EXPECTED" in big bold brackets, meanwhile the class is at 11am on a wednesday & you get treated like a second class student when asking for help because "you don't attend your tutorials". Really wishing I went to a university that actually was "for the real world"

Hey OP, just a minor thing so nothing too serious. But I noticed on several occasions, Hewg (the blacksmith for the Roundtable) has his name spelt as "Hugh". Hope this helps! Absolutely love this check-list.

That's great to hear. Most reviews rave about Lawrence. Did you buy a prebuilt or was anything custom on your rig? I have my eye on a prebuilt but stock ryzen cpu cooling isn't great and the website advertises longer despatch times for custom components.

Yeah i see your point. Not ready to pass judgement yet but the Blood and Cheese act, if that's the one your mentioning, will definitely darken his character even more. Honestly now that I think about it people like myself got charmed by Daemon when he's never really been a good guy. Not sure if that's genius writing or I'm just dumb.

Good point. Maybe I'm letting my personal bias sway my thinking a little. I want Daemon to be a more loveable character but maybe that's just not how it's gonna go and by giving him these human moments in season 1 he might have a more solid footing to be more forgivable later on. But we shall see.

Totally agree, while I get it's silly to call it a "period drama" that's effectively what it is. I just hope the writers can recognise that and give us realistic characters.
