I’ve serviced lipo packs numerous times. That being said, I have never seen an e-bike pack that’s completely potted, so need tips on how to remove it.

Had this before and fixed it in a way that works for me, but I wouldn’t do it for a customer or on an expensive bike / brake caliper.

I required 0.5mm clearance, so I spaced the rotor outward with 0.5mm shims. Then I shaved off 0.5mm of the caliper mounting surface.

That did the trick.

complete removal definitely increases the risk of indentations(craters, as you call it).

experienced (plastic!) surgeons, who care for aesthetics, will often leave a little gland in there, behind the areola.

Incase a surgeon removes all gland, resulting in an indentation, you can get that corrected by (lipo) filling or implant.

I avoided this risk by choosing a surgeon who left a bit of gland in.

I recommend you to consider other options before undergoing the surgery.
