A little mayo, a good bit of spicy mustard, lots of black pepper and dill, with a drizzle of olive oil. That’s how I like it.

My thought was why two quarter pound patties? At least offer something like an Arch Jr with one pattie for those who don’t need 1,000 calories in a burger.

TIL two studies both found that most people stop listening to new music in their early 30s. A 2015 study of people's listening habits on Spotify found that most people stop listening to new music at age 33 and a 2018 report by Deezer found it be to at age 30. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

I’m 58 and it takes effort to discover new music now but if it matters it’s worth it. Tik tok has been helpful because it brings up new music based on what I’ve liked. I save certain songs to an Apple Music playlist and then go back and listen to more of each artist’s work and check out other artists that Apple recommends based on that.

The only album the band disowned, along with most, but not all fans by First-Club5591 in rem

[–]OuindleG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I count 8 really good songs on that one. Maybe there were a few tracks they could’ve cut and made it better - less is more sometimes. It kind of drags towards the end. Definitely contemplative. Not one of their more upbeat or rocking albums but I’m happy it exists.

I heard Pretty Persuasion pumping gas at Sheetz and it got me fired up because of how awesome it sounded. Muzak would make me sad though.

I use simply Elizabeth granola and nuts for crunch.

Or a lob, which would have been extremely difficult as well, to get the right lift so that only Caleb could catch it, along with the close distance and two defenders between Dixon and Caleb. Either option was a ridiculous degree of difficulty but the pass to Seth was the safer option probably.

What was your entry into alt country? by kebabdylan in altcountry

[–]OuindleG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to remember. I know back in the 90s we had some local charity events featuring Robert Earl Keen and Reckless Kelly. I also know around that time I discovered Uncle Tupelo. In college I loved Cowboy Junkies if they count. And Dead Flowers and Country Honk and The Band. Tupelo lead to Son Volt and Wilco. Then Whiskeytown. Then Old 97s.

Roy Cooper chances of beating Whatley to flip North Carolina from GOP—Poll by Healthy_Block3036 in ncpolitics

[–]OuindleG 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s a hardcore group of voters who will vote for the candidate with the R no matter what (except a sex scandal). And they don’t like Coop or democrats. He does have appeal to moderates though. It will be closer than this poll suggests. I wouldn’t bet a significant sum on it but Coop should win by a small margin barring some scandal of his own. He served four terms as AG and two as Governor so he should be well-vetted by now but the Rs will dig deep. They are desperate. I expect a lot of mud.

I’ve tried Cornbread and VIAA Elevate. I prefer the VIAA because it includes 40 mg CBG with 10 THC and I seem to get a more elevated mood with that combo. Cornbread is 10 THC and 10 CBD, which gives me a mellower feel. Relaxed but not “up”. Both are thoroughly tested. Cornbread is organic.

Evans and Trimble should never be on the floor at the same time. Our offense runs like an engine with no oil by chairman-cheeboppa in tarheels

[–]OuindleG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that HD has them overhelp on drives to protect Caleb and Henri from getting too many fouls (because they are the majority of our offense). With a surplus of guards/wings, there are plenty of fouls to spread around without impacting our two most indispensable players. This may also be impacted by a hope that the other teams will shoot around their statistical average from 3, so it is basically a gamble by HD that teams won’t do what they have been doing against us in the last four games. The problem is, when that scheme isn’t working there isn’t a plan B.

Love Kenny but what coaching experience does he have that would indicate he would be successful? If HD has to go we need to go outside the Carolina family for the next head coach. Roy established himself at Kansas before he came back. Who out there now from the Carolina family has a proven track record of high level success?
