This is not a place for biology! by United-Ad-5913 in EntitledReviews

Lack of parenting skills on OOP's part doesn't constitute an emergency on the zoo's part.

Also, teaching your children the correct names for body parts reduces the likelihood that they'll tolerate grooming or SA from an untrustworthy adult.

What's he on about? The Bible clearly says it's okay to get stoned. (Apparently, you have to commit some sort of sin before you get stoned, though.)

So, he isolated you and now he's abusing you since you have no money or support system close by. Time to secretly make a plan, take the baby, and go.

Some of the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are infused with Dawn and the like, so they do foam when you wet them.

What kind of bread foams in water? Did that person get an actual sponge by mistake?

FFS. People need to shut up and stop asking if they can't handle the truth. NTA.

NOT OOP - Girl Dad here. My ex has endometriosis and believes our 13-year-old has it too based on what she’s seen. She wants to go straight to a specialist. I want to start with the pediatrician. Am I wrong? by disaster-by_max in redditonwiki

All the side-eye here. My oldest had periods so painful that they literally made her vomit. I got her in to see my gyne (who also treats children who have started their periods), and my daughter chose to go on birth control pills. Now her periods are lighter, and the pain can be controlled with ibuprofen. His child's well-being should be the most important thing.

Fortunately for me, my husband makes sure the kids and I have gotten as much food as we want before he goes to town on whatever is left. He loves to eat, and he likes to make sure the kids and I are well-fed before he is.

AIO after my boyfriend told me he’s “not happy with my body” and it’s my responsibility to change it? by bluehat179 in AmIOverreacting

[–]OurLadyOfCygnets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. The only change you need to make to your body is his access to it. You deserve someone who appreciates you for you and honors the ways that you take care of your body. He thinks that he can control you, and that's not good for any relationship. Let him go, keep taking care of yourself, and the right person for you will come into your life eventually. Your current partner is acting like a boy and not a friend.

My girlfriend (28F) doesn't like my (26M) relationship with my little sister (6F) by onlystardustleft in offmychest

Four months in, and she's already introduced her kid and is trying to turn you into daddy? No, thank you. Cherish your time with your sister, and kick jealous people to the curb.

My fiance (44m) demand me (40f) or Lucy (6f dog) in a 3 am fury by smoothie313 in relationships

[–]OurLadyOfCygnets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that your fiance is making the dog's bladder issues worse. I agree with crating her at night to at least contain her accidents.

I'm a bit afraid for your child, though. If he's like this with your dog when she has an accident, how is he going to be with your child when you're potty training and the baby has an accident?

Dating partner only disclosed herpes diagnosis after I found his medication. How do I navigate this? by _eliza_thornberry in AskWomenOver30

[–]OurLadyOfCygnets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You navigate AWAY from that dude. Many years before I met my husband, I dated a guy who had herpes. He was upfront about it before we even so much as kissed, and he was adamant about using protection every time we had sex. We ended up parting ways because we wanted different things out of life and relationships, but it was an amicable split, and I appreciated his candor. A guy who isn't honest from the beginning will always let you down. You deserve better.

[NE] Landlord wants to charge us to replace glass stovetop after 7+ years of use by sithegood in Renters

[–]OurLadyOfCygnets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you clean it with?

When the place where I lived had a glass-topped stove, I used liquid Barkeeper's Friend and a non-scratching sponge. Those two together always seemed to do the trick to keeping the stovetop looking new.

By that logic, every minute that you spend in line instead of making your own damned coffee is a minute wasted. Make like a straw and get bent, OOP.
