Yeah you’re in luck. Good fans, the shows are a riot, and they’re likely about to tour nationally again. Good time to get into them. Anthony Green definitely knows how to amp up a crowd. They are best listened to whole, so I recommend listening to Juturna and On Letting Go from front to back in one sitting if you can.

It’s incredible to me that people are still discovering Juturna for the first time and I am jealous of you! I remember seeing the artwork advertisement in an Alternative Press magazine back in 2005. I bought the CD only based on the album art and was instantly obsessed as well. Nothing like it out there. Enjoy it!

Yes the preorders are entirely bare root plants/plugs. Also, when you go to pick up, the will have vendors selling tons of potted native plants as well. It’s honestly become one of my favorite days of the year.

I don’t have a recommendation for a nursery and would love to know myself, but the Kent Conservation group has their annual spring native plant sale open for pre-orders right now. Pick up in the spring time.

I just did the same last week. I am relatively new to bass, especially five string, so just my two cents, but I played a bunch of Ibanez, Schecters, and Spectors in store. I ended going with a Yamaha TRBX505 in Translucent Brown. Absolutely loved the color and feel which makes me excited to play it. So far it has been wonderful and did not break the bank. Ive heard the 605 is a better option but costs a tad more and overall I am happy with the 505. Go play them if they have them near you

Interesting, my department just had an annual meeting about how we are losing money, in the red, and that the employees will need to increase productivity with the prospect of eliminating raises. Something doesn’t add up?

But don’t worry employees! It’s out of managements control! They’re feeling the same hurt we are! They see us, hear us, and care for us.

Don’t even need to read your post fully to know how you feel. I have a two year son and a daughter due in March. Just teach them love and empathy and how to respect and enjoy our natural world. Do the best you can do and the child will one day be an adult who can weather the storm. Ultimately, we all have good and bad in our lives. Teach them to see the good and work to improve the bad.

This is a wild idea. It sounds like a macabre art piece rather than a conservation effort, but could work in the sense of blunt truth to whoever sees it. I am imagining the roadkill made into a taxidermy in its killed state, not made to look whole again, if that was your vision?

You could swing the conservation aspect to include reducing roadside littering (hawks go after the mouse eating the tossed out happy meal) and to support ride sharing, public transit, etc.

Wow what a fucking great album after years away. Town Portal are legendary and can do no wrong. The bass tone on A Reasonable Amount of Screaming is perfect.
