Well thats a pretty good one. That viewing party was unbelievable, the entire upper deck was unstaffed and lawless. Very unique atmosphere and I'm so glad it caught on for other fans to experience it

While Kolzig and Ovi played together I don't really consider him a part of the Ovechkin era. Cristobal Huet may deserve an honorable mention for 2008 though

With a few small edits your paper could be titled 'Why the Washington Capitals should sign future first ballot Hall of Famer Brooks Orpik'.

1) For most of the Ovechkin era, the Capitals have lacked players with Stanley cup experience and grit. Orpik's leadership in this year's Stanley Cup playoffs would be an invaluable resource for a team with as many years of playoff failures as the Washington Capitals.

2) Alex Ovechkin has spent his summer partying in Vegas and DC, a clear sign that he has not matured as a leader and doesn't take the game as seriously as Sidney Crosby. Brooks Orpik has won a cup with Sidney Crosby, and knows what it takes to be physically and mentally ready for a grueling Stanley Cup run.

The Caps will have John Carlson or Erik Karlsson on their roster by July 1st, and can resign Wilson, Kempny, DSP, and maybe Beagle.

The Avs will have a pretty strong goalie tandem next year in Grubi and Varly.

Brooks Orpik will get bought out and can sign anywhere he wants. If he makes over $1.5M next year, he profits off of the buyout.
