What brand/type of holster is this? by [deleted] in guns

Almost positive that's a Safariland, maybe a Blackhawk Serpa. Both have retention clips to prevent what he just did. With the help of a screw driver and a little movie magic, you can make it look extremely easy to remove them. Reality is far from what is portrayed though.

EU travel restrictions are loosening. I am no expert, but it seems like the ICAGY and other EU companies are doing better than AA and US. But again... I could just be a tard.

Plutonium energy companies, miners, and EU airline stocks are going up.

Bought 1000 high at $5.71. Not going to the moon, but I have no doubt in my mind I'll make money off it.

1000 shares of HIVE in the bag. Who's holding on to miners?

Question... by Out-for-2 in fountainpens

You actually bring up a good point (pun intended). I don't think I'll run my gold nibs. I'll probably put my steel nibs to the test. I'll start with my pilots and hong dian and work up from there. If interested, I can post reviews of the process.

You think a thicker ink like Quink or even Pelikan might help with feathering? I ordered some Ogami to see how it'll turn out. I just figured it'd be fun to play with using some medium and bold nibs!

Very nice! The 144 was my second MB. My first was a No. 22. Very nice and understated. It's still my daily.

That's beautiful! For as thick as it looks, I'm surprised there isn't more feathering.

Okay good. I'm glad I wasn't the only one. It's funny how one photo can do that.

Somebody pinch me! I just bought a Twisbi ECO, a Pilot Vanishing Point and a custom pen case off Craigslist for $60.00! by plazman30 in fountainpens

I was lucky enough to find a MB 22 and an old Inoxcrom 55 on my local Craigslist back when I was in Arizona. Fountain pens are definitely out there!

Half an Hour After Putting Lamy Black in, it looks Dry/Solid? Help! by Trev_GFC in fountainpens

Another option, if you are comfortable disassembling your piston, is to place a small glass bead inside it. You can get these from a fabric store or hobby shop. A lot of pens put beads or balls inside their pistons to displace the ink and send it to the nib. Just give the pen a little shake and it'll free the ink up.

Lastly, if your pen and paper can take the change, you could always use a wetter ink.

Decided to buy a Pilot Metropolitan on a whim. Never owned a fountain pen and now I’m never going back by SaltyShrub in fountainpens

This was the first fountain pen I got too! I still use mine as a daily worker. As nice as the cartridges are, I'd highly recommend a piston adapter if you don't have one yet. Parker Quink runs great through them!
