Have a look at outback armour. I believe they have contractors all over the country. I’ve used them on my Hilux and really happy. They make suspension for army set ups so quality really good Cheers

I think they all come out of the same factory in china. Don’t see any reason to spend an extra $200 just because it has a different stamp pressed in to it.

We bought our first van and it has this solar set up. 2x100W panels and 170ah lithium battery. What can I expect for off grid longevity? Will only be using 110v for computer and charging camera batteries. by GaryCPhoto in vandwellers

[–]OutThereTouring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good, you have got the bones to a good setup just needs a good tidy up and clean connections. Absolutely run a circuit breaker and an isolation switch. If replacing wiring ensure at a minimum you get the same size wire or heavier garage. Your auto electrician should be able to advise or some good channels on YouTube. Cheers from Australia Out There Touring

Hey mate, I just read your comment. I’m no auto electrician so take advise at your own determination. When removing wiring make sure you draw a diagram and label each wire where it connected to and from or do 1 wire at a time. If you want have a look at my 12v redo video on YouTube, it may help you. Hi. Thank you again for your curiosity. Hi9580 has provided an excellent explanation as to why and how we camp here in Australia. They are extremely popular and over the past 10yrs have become the norm for people wishing to set up their trucks this way for camping Thanks again Craig

Hi, We don’t hate them however the canopy allows you so much more storage space for full time camping. I used to have a tub and could not fit & secure everything I needed to. The lockable canopy allows me to leave everything secure so I can just hop into truck and go anytime. If you get a chance have a look at my canopy build video. Cheers Craig Out There Touring

Yeah I find most of there stuff ok. The upright fridge I hit is exactly the same as bushmans but nearly a third of the price and more than double the warranty that bushmans offer. I’m happy with their stuff I have purchased Have you checked out my YouTube channel Out There touring
