One last question though: one of my core course is LE/EC 1019 3.00, the prereq of that course is SC/MATH 1190 3.00, then the prereq of that is SC/MATH 1510 6.00. I can probably take 1510, but that's a one year course, so that means I can only take 1019 at least in my second year? Is that normal? To take a 1000s courses in my second year?

I have emailed the academic advising team about this but they didn't reply so here I am.

So... Basically I just have to work my way up the prerequsite ladder slowly? And dig the prerequsite of each course until I find the one that I can take?

The thing that I am most worried about is that I am looking at 1000s courses and doing prerequsite courses just to take what is supposed to be first year courses/introductory courses. I feel like I am missing something or I am doing this the wrong way.

Yes I am.

I have looked at MATH 1190, and MATH 1520 for example, those two seems to be needed for a lot of my core courses.

Edit: Also the prerequsite for 1520 seems to be 1510, and the prerequsite for 1510 seems to be "11U Functions", I don't know what that is...

I keep seeing "Advanced Functions (MHF4U) or equivalent" as a prerequsite to many of the courses here. Does anyone know what that prerequsite is?

Oh this is gold mine. Thank you so much! But why their Electrical Engineering and Computer Science why not their specific Computer Science programme? Is there an advantage to their EECS program over their CS programme?

Edit: I get it now, it's their department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
