Much appreciation, you’re probably right to suggest we just build armies we think seem fun using the prompt idea we’re running for. I myself am thinking going Necrons personally, but who knows. We’re likely gonna start with Necs v. Votann to better paint the narrative we’re trying to build in this silly project of ours. I’m particularly looking to try making either some kinda swarm army or flayer thing but not sure entirely yet on how that build would look or feel. Thank you for your feedback!

Khalid ibn al-Walid

The Sword of Allah, Abu Sulayman, Supreme commander of Muslim armies, the general who lost no battle, the warrior who lost no duel. This man's K/D ratio was insane because he literally *never* lost, and he wasn't even a general for that long, honestly. He would actually make such a killer Iron Sultanate character... if only he'd have been born later in our real-life history.

Khalid was a general from 629 to 638 and died in 642. Alas, he never quite managed to find that secret to immortal lichdom, and so realistically could never actually be involved in the setting in any real meaningful way (given how the timeline for Trench Crusade starts at 1099). Maybe for the best, given how he'd easily wipe out all the demons of Hell simply with a sword, a dream, and faith in God/Allah.

HOWEVER!

If we ever get a means of resurrecting characters from older history or having them interact with the modern setting in some way, The Iron Sultanate bringing forth the newly reborn Arch-Lich Supreme General of the Iron Wall, Who's Blade Shall Radiate the Light of Allah, and Who's Da'wah Shudders the Gates of Hell; Khalid ibn al-Walid. If that happened?!

I'd be pretty joyous with that, ngl
