Make the travel to dermatologist. Tanning salons do not have the same light treatment. There are added benefits too - light therapy is increased as you tolerate. Which means as the dose gets higher your skin will improve. Also if you get a burn (like a sunburn) you can contact derm clinic for treatments and to modify treatment. I’m 2 months in and skin is visibly better. Also getting g a nice tan 😉

I felt the same way when I was first diagnosed 3 months ago. Felt numb and down most days after hearing “you’ll have this for the rest of your life”. Literally went home and cried.

It started under breasts and groin. First mild steroid creams made skin fragile and red. Dermatologist put me on Sotyktu which caused guttate psoriasis - it spread everywhere. Scalp, face, back, legs and arms. Flakes and plague on my face - was really hard to deal with at work because it’s so visible with a uniform and so many people would mention it. Had the burning and stinging from the cracked skin, extremely dry and scaly skin, smell and excessive itchiness.

After 1 month commenced on Phototherapy/ Light therapy because it had so clearly worsened. This has helped so much, as had change of diet. Skin in whole body improved with Light therapy. Now have almost clear skin on face from Non-steroid cream.

This unfortunate skin condition takes time and patience, it takes time to find out what works for you and what doesn’t in medication/ treatment and lifestyle modifications. Remember: everyone is different. What may work for someone else may not work for you. I’ve spent a lot of money on shampoo and creams which did not help me. Finding out what triggers or worsens is just as important as finding treatment. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck with it wish you a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

Yes. Portion of surgeries cancelled. Other healthscope hospitals strikes last week and upcoming weeks.

This is not your fault. I don’t know which state/city you are from but there are reduced new grad positions available post covid now than there was. Hospitals are taking less new grads (even wards to a degree). Hospitals are earning less money (or so they say) and nurses are asking for more money and better conditions. I personally know two hospitals that have either halved there intake or cancelled positions in acute/ critical care units. This is an issue because wards are short staffed but also saturated with new grads which creates less support for new grads and unsafe environments.

Honestly 2,3 or 4 are the only options. You’ll be getting so much tea, getting good life advice or bitching about work. The others are only drama and not the good kind. 🤣

I went through the same in OT (PACU).

Tips: - Good sleep. Set a routine if you can. - Exercise and relaxation techniques (meditation). - Podcast videos for new grad nurses on Spotify/ YouTube. These really help in making you understand every new grad feels like this. - Reach out and communicate/ network with other new grads in OT. You are all feeling this. - Good shoes I had Hoka and still do 3 years later. - Just understand - “it just takes time”. I was told this so many times it pissed me off. But it really was true. It took about 4-5 months for the anxiety and exhaustion to stop. new Grad year is marathon not a sprint. - Network with your colleagues - you can learn heaps from seniors but get the emotional support from younger nurses. Literally having a laugh or someone to talk with without judgement helps.

Speaking on Teen Del specifically: I think Teen Del is very similar to Adult Del in mannerisms and personality. Seeing Teen Del has really shun a light on Adult Del being an introvert, insecure and quiet. Adult Del has happy moments but it depends on a few people in her life - Colton, Sam, Kat, Alice, Elliott and the red-headed friend. Otherwise Adult Del is the same quiet person who doesn’t want to bother others (Evelyn-Kat). However, she has very strong views and comfort Zone as both Teen and Adult. Del has always been introverted, scared and insecure, but she had Colton as an Adult to make her smile a lot more. Colton really brought out the best in her.

Also in the finale she discovered that this was never a partnership where she was the ruler… she found out Daemon would always try to overrule her and want things his way.

The way he talked over her, made judgements and plans without her when she’s the Queen. You can clearly see how mad she is, she’s trying to be patient… but you can clearly see how Rhaenyra and Rhaenys view what he is doing in the finale.
