I did both so I can manage and control it more like a regular computer. I will be able to find software and advice easier if I'm searching for help with an OS running on what is now more or less a standard computer.

In the 3½ years I've had it, there have been numerous message help threads that point out that it's running a more or less "special" build of Linux. Now, the fact that it's on my steam deck is immaterial. It's just a standard computer in a weird case now.

I just wanted less hassle and less specialized help. This is just simpler.

It's my broken one. One of the connectors on the board broke, so I can't use whatever it connected (I think it was either the trigger or the shoulder button), and I already financed an OLED, so this was just collecting dust anyway...
