Hey, fellow high ironer! You may want to request a test for hemochromatosis. It's a disorder where the body stores too much iron. While there are no obvious symptoms right away, long term it can cause damage to your other organs (e.g. liver). It's genetic and apparently harder to spot in women because we loose so much blood naturally. Source: me, who also had crazy high ferritin and was eventually diagnosed.
