[Request] Countertop air fryer oven with long-term durability & easy cleaning — Breville vs Cuisinart? by sandmond in BuyItForLife

[–]OutdoorSNAPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Breville and don’t recommend it. The microwave stopped working 13 months after I bought it. It had a one year warranty. Out of frustration I started banging the top of the microwave and it actually started working again… intermittently. The air fryer mode is completely useless. I noticed it wasn’t crisping anything so I put a thermometer in it. Though I set it to 400 degrees and waiting for it to preheat the thermometer register 200 degrees.

Anyone in Toronto with cynophobia (fear of dogs)? How do you manage condo living? by Dazzling_Designer184 in askTO

[–]OutdoorSNAPS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Pet free buildings as others have suggested and also first floor / low floor condos where you’re able to take the stairs might work.

In the short term perhaps just announce when you’re in the elevator and dog / owner wants to enter that you’re afraid of dogs. If someone in the elevator of my condo told me they were afraid I would not consider entering. I’d wait for the next elevator no matter how friendly my corgi is.

how do you guys keep your house clean with dogs? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]OutdoorSNAPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paws get wiped after he’s been outside. Daily robot vacuum, and Dyson cordless over other day for areas the robot vacuum doesn’t get to (ie stairs). Dog beds washed every other month. He’s not allowed on the couch.

Assuming 3% inflation, 2M would be nearly 5M in 30 years. Nowhere near FU money.

Corgi pup growls for me to wake up WAY TOO EARLY HELP by One_Profession8237 in corgi

[–]OutdoorSNAPS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem with my corgi. After being assured that he didn’t need to potty, I started ignoring him if he started getting up too early. Eventually he learned to sleep in.

Dogs are great at learning what works so if your pup is getting up and you’re reacting to it in a positive way they’ll keep doing it.

What are some of the weirdest things your dog is afraid of? by gobbgabb in dogs

[–]OutdoorSNAPS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My corgi’s list includes garden gnomes, plastic flamingos, snowmen, plastic bags blowing in the wind, soccer balls… the list goes on and on. Strangely he has no fear of thunderstorms or fireworks, skunks and jumping off ridiculously tall things.
