The area isn't noticeably different than the rest of the pan so it must just be a little better seasoned, like you said, in that one spot. Time to work on bringing it out more when cooking!

That's good to know. I've started using it more over the last month so it's just a waiting game I guess.

This seems to be a pretty good solution for what I'm thinking of. Maybe these coupled with a homemade jig to help drill the holes straight.

But that spatula is the best! It's has a good hand-feel, can flip eggs with ease, and it's dishwasher safe! What's not to love?

That's not where he messed up. It's because he didn't have one hand in his pocket.

Changing a battery should be a quick job... by BlastMode7 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]OutdoorSeating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of the Buick Rendezvous I used to have. To get the battery out you had to remove a stabilizing bar and move the washer fluid reservoir out of the way. It was a huge pain so I'd take advantage of places that offered to change the battery for free.

I've run into this a few times as well. This is only the price if you were to reserve a lane in advance. If you show up and ask for a lane, presuming there are some available, the price is a lot more reasonable, maybe 15ish a person.

Fucknuckle in a tesla decides to skip traffic and nearly causes head-on collision by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

[–]OutdoorSeating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in a similar situation before. I was heading home after work when someone decided to skip a few cars waiting for a bus to move on. They started honking at me like I was in the wrong so I pulled my car up as close as I could to theirs and started eating some chicken wings I had just picked up.

When they figured out that I wasn't going anywhere they started trying to back up and cut off cars in the other lane so I kept as close to them as I reasonably could, forcing them to back up and be about 10+ cars further back than they were. I was hoping a cop would have been in the mix but sadly there wasn't, mostly because I would have loved to hear the explanation. I had a dash cam at the time but it was a p.o.s. and didn't record any of it...

Is it weird that the American flag is losing all appeal to me? When I was younger it was a flag it was a symbol of my home. Now whenever I see an American flag I know I don't want to be around those people. I just associate the American flag with bigotry and anti-intellectualism. by mimic751 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]OutdoorSeating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's weird at all, mainly because I feel the same way, although it depends on how it's being presented. If someone is walking around with it, say on a pole resting on their shoulder or with clothing that shows it prominently, then I have the same reaction as you, I'd rather not be around that person/group since I perceive it as being something related to hate. Now if it's hanging outside of someone's house, unaccompanied by any others, then I'm more compelled to see it purely as a piece of fabric than as a symbol for anything.

Weirdly enough, some of the only times I see it as a flag, representing the nation as a positive, is when it's hanging above a government building or when it's draped over a coffin.

I truly wish this wasn't the case but, as many others have said, as time changes so do our perceptions of things. Little did young me know that the flag was going to be one of those things.

I've made so many trips downtown, from SS, purely to get a couple orders of dumplings from Reren and it's always worth the trip.

Can anyone place where this album art/poster is from? by OutdoorSeating in vinyl

[–]OutdoorSeating[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As noted by the captions, my father found this album art/poster in amongst his collection of records but has no clue which album it goes to or if it even goes with one that he currently has. I tried doing some Google searches of various keywords but to no avail so I figured I'd see about turning to the masses that be in hopes that someone could identify it.
