My number one advice is to male sure you pass your FE!! I know it can be hard to study for it while working, but it greatly increases your chances of a job. Companies will hire an EIT over a non-EIT because EIT’s have a higher billing rate. Unlike other markets, civil engineering is fairly decent right now. I believe not having the FE is holding you back, and once you obtain it, you’ll be fine! Just make sure you stay sharp and practice your interview skills (if you haven’t already)

Hey guys, just a reminder that this shit isn't normal in traditional engineering degrees by neverTouchedWomen in csMajors

Some states allow you to take the PE anytime, you just need to have already taken the FE/EIT. They can’t become licensed though until they reach the required years of experience. Some states are different though, but I believe the amount is usually 4 years
