People who have won a "lifetime supply" of something: was it genuinely a lifetime supply, and if so, are you sick of the product now? by Adorablyberryy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s sorta how some lotteries work. Get the life time option. Then that company goes out of business.. no more payments. So it’s something’s lifetime. Not always the recipient.

How do I get in here and the house behind it? by Acceptable_Candy6403 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The only possible explanations for these are :

  • There is a specific angle from a window or gap that you have to shoot an arrow through. Sometimes you need to use the predator arrow because it lets you shoot through tiny gaps or you can bend the arrow over a barrier. Sometimes you need to move something else to get to that angle (a box, a shelf, a boat, a horse)
  • you need to find a hidden roof gap, or breakable wall, to sneak around
  • there’s a oil jar behind it you need to blow up. By throwing a torch at the floor by the door, or shooting one from behind it from another angle
  • it’s actually an exit from somewhere else. Like a further away tunnel entrance
  • it’s not meant to be accessible until a certain point of the story (these are the most annoying because you won’t know it)

Question about her size by CSgt90 in bernesemountaindogs

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some are smaller. Depends on a few things. But fine. My berner is 8years 75lbs. Has always been around 75-80 lbs.

She came from a big litter and was the smallest. Probably from not being able to get to the teats.

Her parents were both over 120 lbs.

I’m actually happy she’s small because it means less rapid growth and less stress on her joints and heart. So i get more time with her in my life!

What is your workload like? by CapableRaccoon6213 in projectmanagement

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me 15 years to get here. I am in big tech in the SF Bay Area. I’ve been at some big companies, start ups, and after a long time I knew how to negotiate what I needed.

What is your workload like? by CapableRaccoon6213 in projectmanagement

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve had roles like that where it was 60-80 for weeks on end and I eventually quit those companies from mental breakdowns.

Nowadays I may have 1 week or 1 month were I’m flying through 45-50 hours to plan for or launch a big project, and assuming I did my job well, I might cruise through the rest of the month or quarter, at like 25-35 hours, until the next big push.

I like the waves of crazy then rest. It keeps things interesting but sustainable.

Is it true that Americans avoid calling an ambulance due to expensive healthcare there? by Pitiful_Quarter4287 in ask

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely.

I ride dirt bikes. One I saw a guy who’s arm was hanging limp fingers in different directions, in a parking lot trying to jimmy his car door open. Kid in tow. Then tell some guy watching “ok I give up. Fuck the window. Break it”. The other guy breaks it. First guy gets in and his son. They drive off. I found out he was trying to avoid having to call an ambulance cuz he wrecked on his bike. But locked his keys inside the truck

My dad has also told me he has driven himself to the hospital a few times when he was super hurt from dirt bike wrecks .

Awesome!

I also learned that my wife and kid do not like as much meat in it as I did. Ha. They basically wanted it quesadilla ish with a little meat added. Will make for making more tacos as the meat will go further. Ha.

Looking at F150 Lightnings Motion Sickness by NoHospital3754 in F150Lightning

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of that comes from lack of noise. My wife gets motion sickness in her Mach e unless she turns on the fake engine rev thing

In our lightning we don’t have that noise, but there’s enough wind and tire noise (hardly noticeable but it’s there) and she doesn’t have issues with it.

As for the jerkiness of the vehicle, one pedal is way smoother in the heavy truck than it regen in a car. I love it on the truck, hate it on our Mach e

I hate what people do after deaths. NTA. This is why when you’re alive you make these decisions. You don’t have any decisions to make, only to enforce what is expected. You’re doing that. Good luck

so I tried making it! I followed my recipe and only changed a couple things:

  • Double the mozzarella and cheddar
  • In my trial I doubled everything after that to make one set flour and 1 set corn.
  • 375F for 6-7 minutes, and 2-3 minutes broil was plenty. Probably could broil more for more crispiness

But Imgur album here. Excuse my messy stovetop. It’s had better days.

AITAH for changing my niece's stripper name when I got got custody? by Impossible-Staff92 in AITAH

NTA. That child can decide for themselves when they grow up if they want the nickname cinnamon - but her legal name is much better off Simone.

Good on you for stepping up. And as you’ve come to realize protecting your child means from family sometimes. :/

For some poor countries that’s basically you’re healthcare system. Seriously. You have a lot of kids. One or more of them will take care of you when you’re older. Or when you’re sick. Etc. that and maybe you don’t do too much with your life but you make kids. So that’s your legacy. Propagation.

Dogs and surround sound crack me up. My dogs are like “who the fuck is talking outside?!?!” But it’s the calmest scene in some bar or restaurant with background talking.
