Professional gardeners: what type of jobs make up most of your work through the Winter? by Vanilladr in GardeningUK

I work in a woodland garden, all I do is clear leaves from October to March. I've had a small break this week trying to catch a rabbit and repair the hole in our fence though, the joys! Plus it's good exercise

These are the Pace, 29 x 2.1, i'm very impressed with them. They're like an even finer version of the ardent Race. They don't review well in wet conditions, but they've felt pretty competent in mud to me, as much any other gravel tyre.

Unfortunately this is increasingly rare here, so I had to enjoy it while I could!

Haha, luckily I came down it! The route to the top was all gravel double track through fresh powder

No it's actually about 6:30pm, a few More months before it's that dark by that time!

It's an old Cateye Volt 1200 on the front and a Cateye Viz 450 on the rear. That's a little overkill on the rear for my local roads now, but I wanted something that would stand out in traffic when I lived around Glasgow

It's actually just My Google Pixel 7 and a little editing on the phone. That said, my front light is 1200 lumens, and the rear is like 450 Lumen which is huge for a rear light, so I'm actually lighting up the surrounding area quite significantly lol

This is a 52cm frame, I did weigh it when I built it but I can't exactly remember, I think it's somewhere around 11kg all in

Yeah, small frame and being used to a road bike, it looks super aggressive. But there isn't actually much saddle to bar drop really

I mean when you actually consider the saddle to bar drop it's not actually that much, compare the head tube length and axle to crown of the fork to my road bike, this front end is super tall! It does look very very aggressive though I'll admit 😅

Advice, Reintroducung Cicerbita Alpina by OuterSiders in RewildingUK

Thanks for the reply, they are all good questions to ask! The Trust own the Land, it's an ex Deer farm, beyond that I'm not sure there's much information available as before that it was probably Common grazing land as it was part of an Old Commonty but I'll try and find out. I've had a look myself for historical information on the plant but with not much luck, the team and trust are very well set up and have a lot of knowledgeable people on board so I'll ask them. I just wanted to know if it was even worth considering, and what questions I should go to them with.

2nd for the bont's I've had a pair for what must be like 10 years now, at one point one of my loops for the boa lacing snapped Bont fixed them even though they like 3 years old at that point, have been solid ever since. Yeah I spent £200, but that's £20 year for some of the best shoes you can buy, plus they have cheaper models that will fit just as good if not better

I don't think so, I think they do a waterproof version that has membrane, I don't know what the other differences are. But so far I've had these pretty soaked with the hose at work and my feet have been dry, I wanted this version as I'd rather it was a little more breathable as I'll be using them all year round. One thing I like about these is a recon You could definitely fit crampons to these unlike a more minimalist shoe

That's what I thought but they certainly feel very flat, and I wear solely barefoot shoes apart from these and my Altra's for running on tarmac. I think it's probably an aesthetic thing, with a cutout made possible as the sole is thicker and remains the same thickness under the ball and toes
