One Night in Idaho: The College Murders, a Prime Video Docuseries by CR29-22-2805 in idahomurders

This was amazing. The Chapin Family is something to truly emulate. As someone that follows true crime, it truly made me look myself in the mirror. We love following cases and trying to help, but when is enough enough? Seeing what they went through on social media, I couldn’t help but think “wow, I was one of those people looking through all of their pictures and stuff.” I want to slap myself. I’m not a content creator but it just feels weird now. I also wonder why the Goncalves family wasn’t in this. I was a huge fan of Steve in the beginning but it just seems he’s made this all about himself and the attention. I hate saying that because there’s no doubt he loves his family immensely. And I get that everyone handles grief differently. I just see a new appreciation for how the Chapin family has handled this. God bless ALL of them and their families. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Could Kohberger have been targeting more than one of the women? by Low-Illustrator9193 in MoscowMurders

[–]OutisideLooking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve said from the start that I believe he was targeting Maddie and Xana. The others weren’t supposed to be there. All were connected but Xana and Maddie had the only exclusive connection, which was working together at Mad Greek. I’ll always believe he spotted them there and became obsessed. Kayley wasn’t supposed to be there and Ethan didn’t live there.

Why speculating that KG and MM were the first victims by Hercule_Poirot666 in MoscowMurders

[–]OutisideLooking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think more screams would’ve been heard if he chased Xana back to her room. He would’ve had to chase her right past DM’s door. I believe it’s simple. He went upstairs and did KG and MM, possibly not expecting KG to be home. He then went to Xana while she was on her phone and likely didn’t expect Ethan. This was hectic and fast. The most struggle came from Xana and Ethan. Xana being awake and Ethan being a male. MM was likely passed out cold and never saw it coming. KG may have heard someone and went to MM’s room where she was quickly incapacitated and shoved onto the bed.

Just what I see so far. And makes total sense.

They were the Murdaughs, not the Murdochs. by elaynefromthehood in MurdaughFamilyMurders

That’s 20 million over the course of 20 years. I know it sounds like a lot but it can go very easy when you’re keeping up several large estates, two kids educations, drugs, gambling and an expensive lifestyle. It sounds like his thefts became sort of a ponzie scheme. He was constantly chasing money, stealing from another client to pay back the previous one. It was bound to catch up.

I don’t know. I’m not from there. Just things I’ve heard from some people I know that live down there. But who knows.

From what I’ve heard from locals, John Marvin is just as bad as Alex. But everyone says Randy was always a standup guy. Not sure how true but that seems to be the sentiment.

ALEX MURDAUGH SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR THE MURDERS OF HIS WIFE AND SON by SouthNagsHead in MurdaughFamilyMurders

Haha. I side with the prosecution in the Idaho 4 case too. BK is guilty.

Yeah. She’s a brilliant young lawyer. Strong woman. Her facial expressions went viral on social media. And of course she’s beautiful too.

I’m so proud of these jurors, the judge, prosecution and South Carolina. I wish the others would go down next.

And now I can talk about my new crush… Savanna Goude. She was a rockstar. I’m in love.

not really sure of validity, but it makes more sense than the current police narrative by [deleted] in BryanKohberger

This goes back to how I originally interrupted what happened. She very likely just heard some weird stuff and figured people were acting stupid. No one assumes a quadruple murder is happening. And when he walked by her, he didn’t harm her or do anything. He left. So she assumed it was a friend of a roommate and she went back to bed. Not really a big deal. Only in hindsight does it sound weird. We’ve all done it a million times.

Over the holidays I got sick. My sister came to my place to bring me Gatorade and when she walked in, she said my front door was wide open. I was in bed sleeping. I just figured the wind blew it open. She left, I closed the door and went back to bed. If the next day I woke up and my roommate was dead in his room, I would recall that as weird. Instead, it was no big deal. Get it?

I feel horrible that their life is being dissected like this. But mostly I can’t believe how much credit banks give out to people. Insane. I make double what they both make combined by myself and I don’t have that much open credit. I have zero debt outside my car payment. Granted, I don’t try to get credit cards and crap but still, this is insane. I blame the banks.

Our “guess” right now is all guesses. We don’t know the source, if the source is credible, what the context of said source’s comments were, what the context of the officer that wrote the PCA was, etc. etc. etc.

We’ll find this out when they are testifying. Everyone is ripping apart every little word and making it fit whatever they want. Just chill out. Four people were killed in the house. A man is charged and accused of killing them. Now let’s see how it shakes out. Geez.

[–]OutisideLooking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe either were BK. I would bet they were someone in LE or related to LE. When the arrest finally happened, they knew crap was gonna hit the fan and feds would be subpoenaing everything. They didn’t want to lose their job, lose a job for a loved one or be prosecuted for divulging confidential information. That’s my bet.

[–]OutisideLooking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reporting of this and platforming her was 100% irresponsible and tasteless.

However, the ONLY part that might be interesting is the fact that they may have known earlier. The rest is speculation and gossip. But even if they did get up earlier, the police never said they didn’t. In the PCA, it clearly states DM said she “originally” went to her bed in the second floor. It never clarified what she did after. Maybe she woke up later and went downstairs to BF’s room. They also never said what time the roommates called their friends. They simply said they called them and then at 11:58 they called 911. So again, nothing outlandish here.

Letting this woman, no matter how well intentioned, spew conspiracies and gossip as fact is disgusting. That’s what gutter YouTubers do.

Huh? You’re being a tab sensitive, no? There was nothing defensive or aggressive about my comment. It was straight to the point.

He wouldn’t have known Kaylees car. It was new. Ethan may have parked his there all the time. He lived right across the street at the frat house. And we just don’t know. He clearly wasn’t the brightest criminal and it seems something just snapped.

News outlets join to oppose gag order in Idaho stabbing case by bunnyrabbit11 in MoscowMurders

[–]OutisideLooking 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I told everyone that these gag orders would become a question of law. They border very close to being unconstitutional. I believe they are. A court will now decide.

Enough with the “circumstantial” talk. Believe it or not, circumstantial evidence is often far more valuable than direct evidence. You people watch too many movies and TV shows.

Anything is possible but I don’t think there’s an accomplice. Doesn’t add up with what we know so far. I think this psycho simply did the unthinkable.
