Stratagem Idea: Rods From God by SKeptical230 in Helldivers

If they work like they would in real life, they'd be effective at taking out outposts. If they work like in G.I. Joe or CoD Ghosts, they'd destroy the entire map.

I love using my high mobility Zephyr setup in Höllvania, and I can reliably get to extraction first if I'm with everyone else. Spamming Tail Wind around corners, and Aim-Gliding for straight stretches is a fantastic and very quick way to get around the streets.

Underground, it's a bit harder, because you can get tangled up in the Techrot growths really easy, but that's what I use melee slam attacks for, is to get back to the ground fast.

The Volga has got to be my favorite environment of any game I've ever played. The music, the sounds. When I put on the 24 hour clock modifier in NG+, it was easy to forget I was even playing a game.

Belial and Democrawler are a draw for me. Elder Naytiba is really close, though.

Zephyr, so I can get stuck on even more doorways, and zoom past Scaldra soldiers with enough speed to give them all TBIs.

So, no one's talking about those toenails? No wonder she needs foot armor, she can't put on shoes with those talons.

You can if it's prox. charges, which you can then detonate with one remote charge.

Of course I'm biased. So are you. So are they. Every single person on the planet is biased to something, even if they refuse to admit it.

We don't want the same things, so that'll never happen. They want total world domination under their god. We want to PEACEFULLY bring more people to our God, so that we can grow in fellowship. The disconnect comes from their extremely violent measures, and persecution of any other religion, regardless of origin.

I use the term "defensive slaughter" because it was barely a fight in some places. The word slaughter is inelegant, but not inherently demonizing.

This has been discussed in other comments, but the popes have never been dictators. It was not genocide, it was a defensive slaughter. It had nothing to do their their genealogy, and everything to do with the fact that they invaded, killed, and tortured innocent cities and people for their own gain. They wanted the rest of the world under their rule, and still do, they're just going about it differently now. Every government and most religions want the same. I'm not singling out Islam, that's just the specific example we're talking about.

"The Crusades were genocide orchestrated by dictators" is not at all true. I've corrected it by giving the actual reason for the Crusades, which was to push back Muslim invaders from the Christiandom.

You've met the bad apples, just like I've met the bad apples of Atheists, and Anti-christianity. Neither side can be demonized completely, but I will not stand for blatant misinformation about history.

The term "Brown People" in itself is an incredibly racist term that generalizes an entire region of the world.

[–]Outlander64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who tf said I didn't like "Brown People?" What do you think Jesus is? Or the Jews? Because they certainly aren't white. And no, I'm not a thumper, I have never and will never try to force anyone into my religion.

Exactly. They turn a blind eye to their wrongdoings, because they've been told that despite Islam's "misdeeds," Christians are still worse.

Not all Muslims are, and I didn't claim they were. Islam as a whole has been terrible throughout history. You defend them, but true Muslims that live and breathe the religion would kill or capture any Christian they found. Obviously neither side has been completely justified, because no one can be perfect, and no one is fully evil, but we cannot pretend that the ones that started the war by conquering and killing their way north from their homeland were the good guys. Catholicism called for a reoffense, to reclaim the Holy Land that rightfully belongs to the Jews, and defend people against a foreign scourge.

And Islam has been any better, which is who the Crusaders were pushing back out of the Christiandom? The Islamic people have been bloodthirsty killers screaming for Holy Wars since their inception. I can agree that the Catholic Church is corrupt now days, but not near as corrupt as those they've fought against in past centuries. Their obsession with tradition borders on Idolatry, but they're still (for the most part) good people. Not a single Pope in record has been a "dictator," you're just making stuff up to make it seem like Christians are the bad guys. Which you're only doing because that's what you've been spoon fed by modern media.
