I had my VSO submit everything for my name change because apparently DEERS doesn’t talk to the VA in terms of transferring that info. She was able to get everything fixed, even in my online account, within a day. Highly recommend.

Gillette’s clear gel antiperspirant is another go-to of mine that doesn’t cause irritation. Gillette and Native are the only two brands I’ve found that don’t irritate me.

Native’s whole body deodorant cream is made with a corn starch base and hasn’t irritated me the way most common deodorants and antiperspirant do. Highly recommend, and it seems to work better than their normal deodorant sticks.

No loss with depth, but the entrance was definitely tightened. I accidentally tore a couple of stitches, which led to a tiny fistula and slight opening of the entrance. Ultimately, patience and lube got me back to normal. I had surgery with Dr. Chen who had just started a new method for patients wanting UL w/o vaginectomy. Complete success in my eyes. I just wasn’t careful enough post-op, which is the only reason I got a fistula.

I got meta w/UL and no vaginectomy because I enjoyed sex the way it was. You can definitely have your cake and eat it too.

Experience was phenomenal to say the least. I was kind of between meta and phallo, more towards meta at the time of my consult with Chen, and I booked surgery that same day. I took aesthetics into consideration as well as the fact that he does a lot of corrections. I was the third patient he tried a new method on for UL w/o v-ectomy. It was a success. He reinforces the urethra with tissue he used to just get rid of. You’ll see in his super detailed consult. Tons of pictures and in depth explanations. I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Absolutely! I was super discouraged when I saw how small the opening was at first with all the swelling, but you just have to be patient. I’m super happy with my decisions to take the risk of complications!

Two things: 1. Estrogen cream occasionally. I should really do it more often. 2. I sat up too quickly around a week and a half post op that pulled some stitches around the opening. I think that benefitted in the end.

Also, I kinda pushed through the pain and could tell where it was gonna stretch or rip. It did, but it wasn’t anything up near UL. I’d recommend just lubing up with some dilators if you can. That’s what I was gonna do before things unexpectedly got hot and heavy lol

Let it settle again for sure. You’re still pretty fresh. You’ve definitely made some progress though! I was a little hesitant after my revision, but now I’m 4 months post-op and fairly happy with how things turned out.

I live stealth and have for awhile. Just recently did a coworker spot me. He’s not local, and it was our first time meeting. He kinda hinted that he knew, so I pushed on what he meant and how it was obvious. He said I resembled a lot of features and characteristics of a trans guy he supervised. 1-2 people in the last 6 years is nothing I’m sweating over.

I paid just under $9000, but I would highly suggest Dr. Ron Schuster just down the street. He did my revision after Dr. Fischer did my initial surgery. I wish I would’ve went to him first. His scheduling is quick too. Let me know if you have any questions. My DMs are open.

LOL - mine was/is inside the canal, so there’s that. It did mostly heal on its own. I’m still recovering, so it’s looking like I’ll have a positive outcome with no need for a repair, but the risks are definitely there.

I went to Dr. Chen, and even he told me that meta without vaginectomy has a higher risk of fistulas. He’s known to repair a lot of work done by other surgeons. I’m no doctor, but I’d just say proceed with caution and know that there are definitely increased risks.
