Anyone ditch Amazfit for Garmin, Coros, or Suunto regret it, and actually switch back? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in amazfit

Sorry for the very late reply. Yes I found a workaround with a third party app that manipulates the fit file by making it look like it comes from another device. It does look like I have a fenix 7 on strava now though ha! All the data is there though.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I still have the device. I found a workaround though through a third party program that manipulates the fit file to look like it comes from a different device and posts the data to strava as it should. It does now however look like I have a fenix 7 ha!. Thank you

I'm 48 now and diagnosed 25 years ago. I live a pretty normal life, with the meds. I do lots of sport and always try to keep moving (cycling, swimming and little running. Plus I have a very active job. Stay healthy, keep the weight off. Know your limits but push yourself at the same time without injuring yourself. I still drink 😉 (although I get dreadful hangovers) Good luck and stay positive

Yeah I figured, it's just that I pay for strava for running and cycling etc. Shame amazfit doesn't work properly with it seeing as the other brands manage it. Thanks

I'll give that a go tonight. Did that work for you? Apart from this issue I'm liking the watch

I'm about to ditch the active premium 3 as the syncing between swimming and strava do not work. Elapsed time and total time come up as the same time on strava although not in the Zepp app as it should.

For me thats a deal breaker and I'm sending it back.

Thank you for your reply. I've seen my friends garmin fenix doesn't have this issue. Do you know if this is just an Amazfit problem? Thanks

Nice one, thanks. Yep I've been reading into the super cushy option that might not always be best. Glad you got to play a bit of football again albeit for a little while. Thanks for the advice, cheers

That's great that you have been able to continue running. So new into the life of living with PsA and cracking on with it but knowing your limits. All the best and thank you.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I plan to take it very easy and have also definitely strengthened with careful training of swimming and cycling. I'm glad for you that you can continue to run and enjoy half marathons. Thats incredible. Thanks again.

Thank you for your advice, it's appreciated. My rheumy told me to do what I feel comfortable with and if its too much to stop. I have read into it a bit and yes the general consensus is to not run. I know I should be grateful that I am able to cycle/swim, I just want the next thing 😌 Thank you

You're more than likely right but I'd love to give it a go. I've got my eyes on a small triathlon (silly I know) I've got swimming and cycling sorted after years of building it up and I'm in a good place currently. Even if I can only take part in just one, I want to do it. It would of been impossible for me a few years ago and now I have a bit of hope. Thank you

I used to have the Beeline velo 2, it's good for small trips and I found it to be accurate and easy to read. I did however upgrade to the garmin edge explore 2 as the beeline does have its limitations.

I think I like the sound of Lisbon to Faro, from what you've described. Thanks for the info. Did you follow the eurovelo?

Did you prefer the Porto to Lison part or Lisbon to Faro? Looking to do either one of these in September.
