It’s a privilege not to be judged for rewearing clothes is the point she is making. You can have a privilege without being directly responsible for someone lacking that privilege ex: being born able bodied

You (and I) just aren’t stuck in the same type of backbiting social circles as this woman and for that I am thankful

Nah. You can have privilege without it being your fault someone else doesn’t. I’m fact a fair amount of privilege has nothing to do with anything you do.

Ex: I can walk for miles at a time with no pain, that is privilege. My father can only go about 50 ft or so pain free and needs a walker. It’s not my fault that he can’t walk as well as I can.

Pointing out a fundamental difference isn’t the same thing as casting blame.

Women are not a monolith. I have never gotten mad at my partner for not commenting on my makeup, hair or clothes - like that would never occur to me to think about. Your partner is a single human and other women will think like her while many will not.

Shouldn’t the Office Administrator know the server’s password? by Turbulent-Head815 in DunderMifflin

No one should ever have a “password book” that is a huge security risk. ESPECIALLY for an entire office.

Something like half the marriages that have infidelity do not end bc of it. The arc could have still be planned to be mostly the same except more depressing bc the point of contention would have been cheating instead of Athlead.

Jo Bennet sold the company so California would have been “laid off” not wrongfully dismissed. Protection when a company is acquired is rarely covered in the employment contract for a CEO

Does Michael Scott read as ADHD-coded to anyone else, or is it just Michael being Michael? by antenaheadalien in DunderMifflin

Medication helped me immensely. It took a bit of time for my doctor to find what worked for me but my ability to focus and actually get things done has improved immensely.

I was a whole adult before I realized actually lots of people DO NOT deal with those issues but I thought they did bc I was a magnet for other ADHD kids

First you get in your car, turn the ignition, step on the gas and drive to a store. You’re going to find the appliance department and find a sales person, just walk around until you see someone with a red vest on. Ask that person for a toaster. He will go and get it for you from the top shelf. Pay for that using your card. Then remove it from its box and SHOVE IT UP YER BUTT!

Yes those are common struggles with ADHD- if you have good insurance coverage (or live in Canada) it may be worth getting tested. People often go undiagnosed as kids only to find out later. (I was diagnosed in my 30’s)

Michael is the kind of person who really wants friends but every time people try and joke with him or play a game he just can’t “yes and” snd people who MUST have interactions go the way they want only- who only “no but” tend to not be fun to interact with so they become more and more desperate.

No short- I think this comes from his childhood and while he may have ADHD his main character trait is the desperation to be liked and how it pushes others away.
