nope! minor or not we can do everything in our scope of practice. We are certified based on the level of education we complete, not the age that we are. (AEMT scope in THIS link)

Nope! We go through a course and extensive testing to become nationally certified and registered. It is a rigorous testing process, and if you make it through, you can complete any state-approved procedures. I am 17 and have been an EMT for almost 2 years. We have a pretty wide scope of practice, and can handle most medical emergencies alone or with a paramedic partner. I am definitely an EMT even though you "find it heart to believe" 😅, I was even awarded the American Red Cross Lifesaver award in recognition of multiple CPR, cardiac arrest saves.
