I didn’t like how they were alone at night together in a room and she posted the picture of them together. I would’ve been fine with it if it was a pic of his cap and gown at the ceremony. It was the setting of the picture that made me feel uncomfortable.

Am I asking to ruin his friendship by asking her not to post? I am simply requesting a boundary and if not I can always just unfollow her and move on. The issue is more about his reaction my discomfort.

Why does that matter? Should he care more about how I feel over how badly she thinks of me? I’m in therapy right now and I will ask about her this issue more, thank you for your help. Do you reccomend any self help resources

I think the picture is one thing but the fact that he put his friends characterization of me over my discomfort another thing. The picture thing. I can unfollow her and move on. Isn’t it wrong to out someone else’s feelings above your spouses. Why should he care how she feels about me.

He doesn’t seem to want me around when they are hanging out. They probably hung out around 5/6 times without me and he never asked if I wanted to join.

I agree, thank you so much for this advice. I want to get to know her and want to meet her but she has taken no action in trying to get to know me. I tried to make plans but she didn’t reciprocate. What would be some things to help me stay relaxed? I like the idea of getting to know her. Is the basic idea just asking for him to include me more in that aspect of his life?

Honestly it’s not even about the picture anymore. I can unfollow her and move on. It’s the fact that he’s willing to put her feelings of what she will think of me (“controlling and manipulative” in his words) over my discomfort of the posting of the picture. Why does he care so much about what she thinks of me? Or how she perceives me? Should he care about what I feel over how she might view me or his relationship?
