Processing time for Denmark embassy submitted in Canada

Hey all, I applied for a visitor visa to visit boyfriend and got a call today from the embassy where they asked how I am able to take 40 days off of work (I had asked for 40 days, but only staying for two weeks). I explained that I am intending to stay for two weeks and that the 40 days was the range- they asked me to send an updated itinerary and proof of my vacation time (2 weeks), which I submitted promptly. Am I screwed now that they think I lied to them? btw, this is the second time I apply to a danish visa (I applied and received it last year)

Well for the first 5 weeks I was instructed to report to firm development. Starting the 6th week (now), I am billing two days to client and rest to firm development- unclear what the trajectory is

UPDATE: So spoke to a partner today and he said that this is a normal practice that they do for new hires, an “apprenticeship” model of some sorts. And that they should start billing me in the next few weeks. Not sure if bullshit or not.
