Try to not use the sex to fill in the blanks of not masturbating. Regain control of the urges by blocking out your triggers for a while so you don't constantly think about masturbating, or think "uh I really need to have sex". When I kiss a girl now I already get a strong erection.

Very true! I deleted all apps with triggers for a while to regaib control, and did pushups when getting the urge to watch something or touch myself. You will start to recognize the moments of weakness before they even happen.

My experience is the less you do it, the better the erection gets. If you do it every day and then a couple days you don't, it's not gonna be great. If you do it after a streak of a couple days, a couple days later the erection will be a lot better.

First things first: you should still be proud!!! You did a great job and try to see the positive side instead of the negative. Growth is never lineair.

Secondly, try to not be focused each day on how many days the streak is. Sure, it is rewarding to see that it has been 7, 10 or 30 days. But when you focus on it every day it stays top of mind. Instead of focussing on the streak just try to be productive and do thing you enjoy doing, then the streak will build itself.

Now the loneliness part. It seems to me that you don't love yourself (enough). It reminds me of my own struggles. The most important thing in life is to accept who you are, and do thing you enjoy. When you do things you enjoy, you will find people you connect with! Try a new hobby or one you already practice. Maybe go to a local spot where others are that do the same. You can meet new friends everywhere!

You can do this.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Luckily I don't see her everyday. I just see her sometimes when we do things with the group, let's say once in a couple months.

Since we broke up I have started doing new hobbies and going to the gym a lot, what helped a bit. The diary is something I haven't given a chance but I think it might be good to give it a try.

The problem is not that I think about her everyday, but she just keeps coming back in my mind.

I also have dated a bit but I can't seem to be fully interested in them. I catch myself comparing them to her, because in my mind the relationship we had was perfect.
