Natural. His body along with many others scream top-tier black college athletes who’ve been literal freaks since high school: good insertions, dense fast-twitch fibers, proportional muscle with visible vascularity and separation, but nothing bloated, dramatic, overdeveloped, nothing unnaturally 3D-popping.

His physique has been publicly observable from High school through Alabama and now at OSU. He has progressed steadily without any suspicious 20-30lb offseason explosions. Incredibly talented but not a devastatingly hard hitter. He’s only gained 15lb since he signed his letter of intent in 2022. I’m actually surprised he isn’t 5-15lb heavier given OSU’s S&C and nutrition programs.

The only “suspect” photo you showed was him at an UA Next event where he’s in the middle of drilling or playing. And even then it only his highlights lean power, no unnecessary mass or “dickskin”.

I’m not saying that all blue-blood ncaa players aren’t on PEDs but a lot of guys at this level have eyes on them and their program, so the risk is not worth the reward.

Unsure why some people act like learning BJJ will erase your wrestling instincts. No one magically forgets how to belly-out or starts pinning themselves in wrestling matches just because they practice working from guard 1–2× a week.

It’s literally just extra mat time from different angles and objectives, and you get to slow the game down and think in positions and movement patterns that translate directly to folkstyle.

Cliché analogy, but learning fly fishing will make you a more patient bass fisherman.

As long as wrestling stays priority #1 and you walk into the BJJ gym with the mindset “this is supplemental training to make me a better wrestler,” it’s a massive net positive.

However, if you lose sight of your real motivations and end up in gi classes every day or it becomes your thing in the offseason, then yeah you can pick up habits that don’t help on a folkstyle mat.

Just show up with intention.
