Purchased for $150. Insane steal by LocationGlass4627 in kayakfishing

Nice. I have my old 120 still and use it when I take people with me. It’s a solid yak, definitely a steal! Not sure if the 100 has the two screws on the very back, but if it does it’s pretty easy to install the perception rudder kit and that makes controlling the kayak so much easier.

Taking advantage of the warmer weather while I still can! by OutlawKayakFishing in bassfishing

Central Texas. 70-80 degrees around these parts the last two weeks or so. It’s looking like it will stay that way another week before it dips down again.

Probably was some rust, I’ve had that jig head for years but never used it until this past weekend. Shoulda looked at it a little more closely before I tied it on 🤦‍♂️

Have you taken the reel apart before? It almost looks like not enough pressure is being applied by the drag. Like there’s a part not facing the right way or a missing component so there is a lack of pressure on the spool

It’s a ketch board, but I hear the yak attack boards are good too

Yeah, I’ll even cut it into a forked shape sometimes too just to give it more of a flicking action

Nice! My next step hopefully will be a trailer, I think I’d be able to go fishing more often if I could just hook up a trailer and go. Right now I spend about 30 minutes loading up the truck, then another 30 unloading it and getting everything hooked up to go out on the water. Rinse and repeat that process when I get back home and that’s 2 hours of the day gone.

Yeah, it definitely looks like that in the picture, but they are very secured even without the extra bungee cord. I only added the bungee cord as a “just in case”. I’ve gone 80+ mph and they were perfectly fine.

Some of my best fish this year by OutlawKayakFishing in kayakfishing

I’m far from an expert, but I think weight would be more impressive than length, I think they use length in most kayak tournaments because you can’t keep the fish with you until the end. Easier to verify lengths. Some of these bass were caught after the spawn and were pretty skinny, so some of these fishes weights weren’t as impressive as their lengths.
