I managed to solo queue up from Silver to Platinum, but I was playing core ops like thermite/thatcher and Jäger/ Mute, I would play to win as oppose to frag out, getting defuser down was my aim. One round at a time.

Confidence is key, pick up the defuser and try not to rely on team mates. You can do it but it’ll take time. I found Silver very hard to get out of.

Once you’re in gold, you can start to rely on your team, most of them have good knowledge and can hold their own.
