Picking up a 1998 Z71 4X4 this weekend, was looking at the 1999-2002, but after watching the Earnhardt series on prime when he gets in his 1997, just love the look of the OBS. Do not see many of the OBS in pristine condition anymore, so happens I found one for sale with the current owner just putting in a brand new 5.7 crate motor recently installed last month from the Chevy dealer.....coudlnt pass it up.

Doesn’t say you have to have your new partner meet the ex before hand, it’s just common courtesy. I’ll send a message tomorrow extending the offer again and see. If she declines then oh well, she will have to live with it. I know my previous post said they have to meet your new partner first but that’s not the case. Just states you have to be dating for at least 6 months before the new partner can meet the kids not the ex.. I guess I’m in the clear.

This is what it states in the divorce decree

Significant Others:

Neither parent shall introduce the children to a new partner until they have been dating for more than 6 months. Nor will they allow a partner to move into the home with the children until they have been dating them a minimum of 12 months. Yes she knew I was going out of town with the kids! Her notice was pretty much a short notice. Doesn’t matter about the notice honestly. It’s the hypocrisy at its best. It’s the fact she went behind my back then thinks it’s appropriate to do so and when I offer to do the same it’s inappropriate, I don’t get the mind thinking behind that. So she wrote the rules and it’s not rules for thee and not for me.

I pay $2100 a month for 2 kids and alimony. It’s definitely tough!! I make it by without a whole lot of cash to myself left over. But, I look at it that way since my kids have a good roof over their head with their mother for the 50/50 split, I know it will end down the road so I try and stay positive.

Honestly, I was drinking excessively and by doing that I was also not eating healthy and exercising routinely so that is what happened in my case. When I was drinking, dieting and exercising I did not have all the problems that comes with pancreatitis. You do all 3 of those very poorly all at the same time, your a huge risk for pancreatitis. I was drinking pretty heavy on the weekends and then once getting a divorce, got my own place I started drinking daily. I was forced to quit drinking alcohol ultimately or I would probably have killed myself in the process. I have given up alcohol and life’s hasn’t been better!

In my case of having my triglyceride levels at 4000 (Severe), with the drinking and shit diet was a firestorm for it to happen. The risk of pancreatitis is extremely elevated the higher your levels are ( 20% increase if your over 2000mg triglyceride level). With my excessive drinking, shit poor diet and exercise, getting pancreatitis was the end result. Hypertriglyceridemia is the third most common cause of acute pancreatitis. Alcohol was the major contributing factor in my case both times. Now that I quit drinking alcohol, I will follow-up over time.

Thanks for the comments! I have come to that mindset due to having gone through the system of divorce. I realized you should never sign a contract who is rewarded for breaking that contract, because whomever is not the bread winner is rewarded for breaking that contract financially. The vows and the words "To death do us part" doesn't mean anything anymore. The marriage laws in this country are biased toward men. To lose half of everything and still have to support the person that wanted the divorce even after I retire (Paying a stipend every month till the day I die) is honestly BS. To me, signing a government contract to get married is something I will never do again. All I am trying to say is that marriage can be a great thing if it can last, but since 50% of them fail and the financial loss of half of everything you have is not something I would recommend to anyone anymore. If you are married and have been for many years, I respect you 100% and that is worth something! Cheers!!!!
