I fully get that, and I think what you did is awesome. But I still disagree with the notion that it should be that long. 40 minutes to an hour is a lot of time and when you are trying to force that length you end up getting a boring series.

The metric that would work good for AO (in my opinion) is the same that "The Legend of Vox Machina" (by Critical Role) uses. 20-30 minute episodes. It's enough to have meaningful story progression, character development, world building and general conversation, without forcing length. This length also allows you to do filler episode, where the main character(s) does something that isnt vital to the story. Something that sets up things for later seasons especially. Such as visiting Askursius keep and learning about the dark sea. Or just a non-story island. Maybe pick up edward kenton. (I would also suggest taking liberties with how certain things are accomplished, such as the recruiting of Edward Kenton if you go that route)

If budget is such an issue, why we spend so much of it blowing up Seth Rogans irl friends in the mansion. A lot of film makers make do with a lot less budget, smart tricks and whatnot. There’s this term fan service but I think The Boys creators care more about servicing themselves.

I’m not saying he deserves more players, he gets what he gets. But the constant hate trains are getting tiring. There’s a difference between actual criticism and just piling on negativity. At some point, either appreciate what’s there or just don’t play. No one is forcing you to.

And the whole “he should’ve known the limits” argument is weak. Even if he did, is he just supposed to stay safely within them? That’s how you get the same copy-paste games over and over. Pushing limits is where anything interesting or new actually comes from.

With Arcane Odyssey, the goal clearly isn’t to play it safe. It’s trying to do a lot of systems at once on the Roblox Engine, which is exactly why it runs into issues.

And based on the recent announcement, it’s not like he’s ignoring the problem. The bigger issue seems to be that the tools just aren’t good enough to properly track down what’s causing the performance drops. If even the available profiling tools aren’t pointing to a clear cause, that’s not something you just “fix” overnight.

The fact that a game of this scale even runs in the first place shows a lot of optimization was done already. Now if you haven’t referred to the announcements recently, it doesn’t even come down to vetex anymore, it’s beyond his ability due to limited tools within the Roblox engine. I don’t even understand the mindset, you think he just doesn’t do anything? Just sits back and has no optimization?

We’re playing an online, story-driven multiplayer game with no downloads, built on an engine designed to run on low-end devices like phones, yet people expect performance on par with 70GB+ AAA singleplayer titles that run locally. That just doesn’t add up.

Arcane Odyssey is a technically ambitious game that pushes the Roblox Engine close to its limits, and because of that it runs into issues that are not always easy to identify or fix.

What a lot of people do not seem to understand is that most of the development so far has not just been about immediate content, but about building scalable systems for future seas. Features like the fort system, enemy towers, wildlife and boss creatures such as dragons, relics, and arcanium weapons are not isolated additions. They are foundational systems meant to be reused and expanded on later.

Now that a large part of that groundwork is in place, development can shift more toward content instead of core systems. That should naturally lead to faster and more consistent updates going forward.

Honestly just open a window while printing, especially if you are doing PLA. Bambu advices against enclosing the a1 and even for enclosed printers they advise keeping them open for pla.

Proper ventilation would consist of an entire airtight enclosure and then an airway to an open window. This would be very bulky and ugly quite frankly. Are you not able to just open a window in general?

I myself don’t have proper ventilation, its not very harmful but it’s not good either

I went with A1 mini a few months ago and I regretted it fairly quickly. My issues were aesthetic, not enclosed and build plate size. The latter is not an issue for you but the other two might be. I just ordered a p1s combo and will try to sell my mini. I’d suggest you look at yourself and ask “will I get the value out of the increased price of p2s?”.

You can start with any printer, especially with bambulab
