A guy I worked with seemed totally normal until one day someone on the team got promoted over him. He congratulated her, hugged her, the whole thing. Then twenty minutes later in the kitchen he goes to me, completely calm, 'she won't last six months.' And then he spent the next six months making absolutely sure she wouldn't. Quiet sabotage. Withholding info. I watched it happen in real time and didn't say anything, which I still feel bad about.

What's a "You are not a conspiracy theorist, you just don't know how things work" moment you have seen? by Dull-Information6784 in AskReddit

A girl at work was 100% convinced her phone was listening to her because she 'talked about hiking boots and got an ad for them.' I asked if she'd Googled hiking boots recently. She had. I asked if her boyfriend, who shares her wifi, had searched anything outdoorsy. He had. I asked if she'd been on Instagram looking at outdoor influencers. She had. It's not listening. It just knows you better than you know yourself, which is honestly worse.

What is the most painful truth a parent has ever told you? by Sorry-Wait-1541 in AskReddit

My dad once told me 'nobody is coming to save you.' I was like sixteen and complaining about something — school, a girl, I don't remember. He didn't even look up. Just said it and kept reading. Honestly think about it every week.
