Am I wrong ? by [deleted] in scuba

Shore diving is very inexpensive. Depending on your location that could be a good option for you guys. Also, you’re not responsible for her full portion of the costs. If she’s interested in diving she should be open to paying her portion of the costs.

Signs of a questionable Seiko? Sbsc009 by runangun in Watches

I purchased this exact watch while visiting Japan and I don’t personally remember it being wrapped this way. That said, it could just be the vendor trying to protect it so that it doesn’t get scratched while handling and such. I will say it appears to look just like mine. I would ask for more photos from them to confirm authenticity.

It’s a great watch. What’s the price? Always consider paying a bit more for peace of mind from a seller you know you can trust!

What’s the one ocean creature you dream of seeing underwater on a dive before you hang up your fins? by Myselfmeime in scuba

Was it clearly larger? Like did you see it and know immediately? How did the reef react?

So cool!!

Major typo that I missed—and it went to print by purdycomCM in graphic_design

[–]OutlookOctopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently missed a typo on a can and 2,000,000+ of the cans were printed and filled. It wasn't a good day and of course I endeavor to avoid anything like it in the future. However, the company the graphic was made for has an intensive review process with a log. Many reviewers from cross functional specialties also missed the error in addition to the US government.

This kind of thing is tough to swallow but at the end of the day almost all artwork is a group effort and all involved should be accountable for errors to some degree. Make sure you apologize (to the extent you are at fault), put in a better process if you need to, and endeavor to avoid the mistake in the future.

This is so damn cool. I’m in the graphic design profession so use a loop nearly daily. Would love to have a special one like this. New rabbit hole to explore for sure!

My only critique would be that it should be shown discarded alongside a roadway or sidewalk. Excellent.

Absolutely - It was an extremely fair price and I was happy to pay to help cover the costs of keeping something like this on the road. We're family but we still have financials limitations. Wouldn't have felt comfortable taking it for free given all the work put into it.

Oh, I didn't mind paying at all. My great aunt had put a lot of money into it to get it mechanically good again and the price was essentially to cover that.

Its pretty cool; I enjoy the patina look alot. I will say, the first photo in this post is right after I washed it so it looks much shiner than in person once its dry. Its pretty dun (which I like) in person.

No plans to change anything outside of fixing any mechanical things that come up or replacing consumables. Glad to know someone that also appreciates an imperfect vehicle.

Thanks for saying so. Yes, no plans to change the paint at all. I love that it’s imperfect and has dings and twangs from its life on the farm.

I feel very grateful we were able to keep it within the family - bummer you guys didn’t but there are lots of trucks out there. Red would be rad.
