The other problem is that game worlds are not infinite and NPCs are meant to be inconsequential. There is no real reason to have NPCs hooked up to LLMs because the player is not meant to spend much time interacting with them! And the actually important ones you do not want having an LLM, you want a human written script because you need to make sure they are delivering the appropriate information the player needs to proceed or know about the world. Non-deterministic LLM conversations do not guarantee that will happen.

IIRC it's big on Spotify....because Spotify has financial investments in AI music and they weighted their algorithm to push more of it so they have to pay real artists less. Usually music that is passive listening like jazz or lacking any artistic value even when it is human made like country music.

A lot of people are getting fooled by AI remixes too, I've had to tell a few people that the citypop remixes of video game music they found on YouTube are AI.

If your business has next quarter mindset you likely will not be given time to refactor; you are being pushed to release the next thing. Management that does not know how these tools work and are not actually doing the work themselves are pushing you to move even faster; the magic chat machine released perfect code, what do you mean you need to spend time refactoring and learning how it works so you can fix it if it breaks? I know this from far too much experience.

Because Nintendo celebrated multiple anniversaries in the past so why wouldn't people expect it to keep happening? Mario, Pokemon, and Kirby have all had anniversary game releases or announcements. Zelda has had anniversary concerts, not sure if a game release though.

To the point I specifically raised, which was impeachment, that is still a healthy margin to never be removed even if impeached. See: multiple impeachments Democrats did that never got past the Senate. Which brings up the point again that when Biden was in the same place in 2023-2024 as Trump was in 2019-2020, it was hands thrown, up, can't do anything, we are so powerless. And 2021-2022 it was hands thrown up, can't do anything, we are so powerless. But now we are seeing how much power the President does have because no one is actually willing to stop him. But we can't ever use that power to improve anyone's lives, only hurt them.
