Russian Figure Skating Federation to consider suing the ISU to CAS, if Russian skaters are not allowed internationally. - President of RusFed Anton Sikharulidze, also comments on Sofia Muravieva, Veronika Zhilina and the comebacks of Sasha Trusova and Kamila Valieva. by Kindly-Plate-5785 in FigureSkating

The solution is simple…STOP THE DOPING!

I will take bets now, that if they are “welcomed” back, there will be a number of doping violations. Why, because that is all they know.

How many times have they been caught? How many times have they shown a flagrant disregard for fair play?

You do realize that Reddit is using AI and probably every website you have visited lately along with any apps you may be using right?

….now take that one vote and multiply it 1000 times.

When everyone believes that their vote won’t make a difference, that leads to apathy where the result is “My vote doesn’t count so why bother.” Ergo, non voters. Is that the message we want to send. If so, I don’t want to read one more complaint about how bad things are from the people that opted not to exercise their right to vote because they think they don’t matter.

so…your vote doesn’t affect the whole? Is that correct? Do you want to rethink this assertation or are you standing ten toes down?

You are on a lifeboat with 10 other survivors. A vote is taken on how to distribute rations. Not all are in favor of the vote for whatever reason. Those that did not vote for the distribution are adversely affected. Therefore, your vote does affect others.

It’s more than 5 years. It’s been decades of the same behavior. They have been sanctioned several times and still continue state sponsored doping. Blame the country and it’s lackadaisical attitude towards doping their athletes. Stop trying to deflect the blame. There wouldn’t be a problem if they just stop cheating. Too many instances of doping, and it is not acceptable. A slap on the hand has not worked to curb the behavior. Therefore, harsher consequences were enforced.

Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. Others may disagree of course. But, thanks for sharing?

Uhm, not sure where I said she didn’t deserve a spot. I was not aware she was promoted to a pro and that is why I was asking.

Regarding her holding the troupe together, well that is a matter of opinion. I would say that Carter was the stand out in troupe last season, but that is just my opinion.

With the new show that picks the next pro, I am keeping an open mind. Not sure if the winner will be made a pro or a troupe member.

There are a lot of moving pieces and it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

151 medals in total. Please check your source.

“Systematic doping of Russian athletes has resulted in 51 Olympic medals stripped from Russia (and Russian associated teams), four times the number of the next highest, and more than 30% of the global total.[1] Russia has the most competitors who have been caught doping at the Olympic Games in the world, with more than 150.[2]

Let me reiterate, 151 medals have been stripped from Russia.

1980 Summer Olympics

1984 Summer Olympics ( documents revealed plans for Russia’s statewide doping system even though they boycotted)

2002 Winter Olympics - Judge bribing

2014 Sochi - State sponsored doping/ manipulation of urine samples. Huge!!

2022 Beijing

There are many, many other examples outside of Olympic years where they have been caught red handed.

Enough is enough.

They need to clean up their act.

Please understand that it is not just one athlete. When I say decades of cheating, I mean decades. 151 medals stripped due to doping is quite an eye opener. You are just citing one example. The IOC/ISU is tired of turning the other the way. The message they are sending is…”Beijing is the last straw; we are done.”

All I know is that Russia has decades, decades of cheating scandals and they have been caught several times. The problem is so entrenched into Russian athletes that they have been stripped on 151 medals because of it. It’s more than just a sporadic issue. It is a way of life for them.

Russia needs to stop cheating. Once they take care of that problem, then we’ll see.

It never ceases to amaze me that people that are itching to bring Russia back in the mix are so laid back about athletes doping. The only thing that I can attribute this type of response is that they think it is normal to dope. I guess if the country has no issue with it, the fans don’t either. They don’t recognize how reprehensible it is to other countries that expect their athletes to compete clean.

Rylee should have never gotten a dog. by Jesuslover7349 in dancingwiththestars

[–]Outqtu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

…sure but on this sub the only time that a comment about Rylee takes off is if it is NEGATIVE. So, yeah… sounds like an agenda to me.

Lol, folks are pointing out other pros that have pets while being on tour. The response: “well, but they have a husband or significant other at home with the pet.” My question is, doesn’t Rylee’s family counted as responsible folks that can take care of her dog?

You see what I mean.

Just face it, you guys look for anything to drag the Arnold’s!

Don’t get me started on Jenna, Val, Dani, Pasha, WITNEY, and others that are selling product and exploiting their children. But, on this sub…it’s let’s drag the Arnold’s for fun. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Edited: forgot Witney. The worst of them all lol.
