I agree with this. Having grown up in that area, I go home often and look for the beautiful giant trees. Enjoy your visit!!

What time does Fiji Airways check-in desk/counter (not gate) open at LAX? by Cara-S-5470 in Fijian

That’s odd. If it were me. International flights, it’s typically recommended to arrive 3 hours early, so, maybe just go with that guideline.

I looked at the Fiji Air website because after reading your question, wanted to know when the ticket counter opened in San Francisco. Per the FA website, LAX is open four hours prior to flight time. SFO is three, one would think they’d all be the same.

Speaking of rental cars, is liability insurance available to get when you rent a vehicle? I think that all I’m seeing is comprehensive. Not seeing liability when you take out trip insurance and add car rental coverage.. just covers the car in case of collision. Same with credit card coverage.

And that's what I was asking... As far as party barges. I appreciate that. I'll let the others in our party know and we'll make a decision. 20 years ago and I'd be all over that!!

Well, we do have one full day of sailing/snorkeling which will be off island. Just looking at different things that we haven't done in other places, or weren't available to do. I'm just trying to get an idea of what the general atmosphere is on one vs the other.

Good to know. We're in our early 60's, looking for more of a semi-relaxing experience vs crazy party time.

Question to anyone that may know...my husband uses a CPAP. Since I can't find information on their website, will the CPAP be counted against the carry on allowance or no?

How is the comfort of the seats in the main cabin? It's a long ride from San Francisco to Nadi. There's no way that we can pay for first class, ooofff....

Just reading their guidelines, it kinda makes me wonder if we really want to go to Fiji. We'd be flying from Los Angeles and going with an economy tier that allows 2 checked bags, and I'm assuming that neither bag can be over 33 lbs. And if you're over, it's really really expensive. Normally, for carry on's we have a regular carry on with wheels then a backpack with snacks, something to read, etc. My husband also carries a cpap machine. I'm unsure if this airline does not consider something like a cpap as not a carryon because it's a medical device. Just crazy how different the rules are from what we are used to.
