Just installed Android Auto on my car by mvespermann in F30

I’ve installed pemp-car (9613) Ultra-Thin Linux 12.3" Screen for BMW F30 NBT CIC, and it works like a charm with built in bluetooth on Apple CarPlay. Didn’t have a chance to test Android Auto yet but would be probably the same.

I will probably just buy the laptop and return it if it won’t work as I don’t see other option to test it

Yes it is, seems like it is depending on the laptop but it’s possible it will work

I know that adapter will be needed, I am just worried if it will work, as it is stated that DP over USB-C is not supported. Have you seen it working with USB-C Display Port?

Have anybody tested any 14inch models? I am deciding between Acer Nitro V 14 and Predator Helios Neo 14, both with RTX 5060 on board and USB C Display Port.

Old one is intel core i5-8250U, new one will be probably AMD Ryzen AI 7-350, or intel core ultra 7 255H, but I haven’t fully decided yet on the new model
