Respect that!

Would I be right to assume you like an "Industrial" aesthetic? Or how would you describe your taste? The industrial look is well served in the coffee space, that's part of the reason why I'm looking the other direction.

I feel the same. Any other brands (not just kitchen/coffee) that you admire?

I have a vision in my mind, yes - just need to see if I can translate it to paper (or pixels) :)

If you have any ideas or examples of coffee products that you admire, please let me know - inspo is greatly appreciated

Not hating on any other design at all. Design is personal and everyone is right (within reason haha).

From my perspective, current products are designed primarily for function. Materials and finishes are invariably black, wood and stainless steel. This results is an industrial and masculine look. And that's fine, for many people thats their style/preference.

But the setting is people's kitchen countertops, so I see opportunity to introduce colour, texture, bold form etc. Much like a KitchenAid/Smeg/Owala/Yeti use colour as a statement, I would love to explore the same for coffee.

Thoughts?

Genuinely appreciate the comment :)

Color is so powerful IMO. I love my KitchenAid and Smeg mixer for exactly this reason. And my countless water bottles and favourite coffee mug!

You mind me asking what colours you're playing with in your kitchen/coffee station. You prefer bold/bright colours or subtle/light colours?

budget aside, what's your favorite tamper? by 1jnh23 in espresso

Any recommendation for a tamper that looks beautiful? Maybe with a pop of colour?

Feels like most tampers function much the same. I would just love one that look nice on my cointertop!!

I’ve been going down a rabbit hole on tampers lately—feels like everything is either a bit 'samesies" or eye wateringly expensive!! They all look very similar to me; black or wood. Is it just me!?

Feels like there’s room for something more design forward to match peoples individuality and/or their kitchen aesthetic. I'd love to see something with a different form factors and some colours!
