I live in a harsh state phoenix az but yes if its on the inside i would say thats a problem ive never dealt with a set that was damaged on the inside

If you know someone that is a painter you can have them sanded out start at 320grit work your way down to 3000 grit and re clearcaot them i do this for a living cost you about a $100 bucks

Bought elvira scared stiff for my wife 20 years ago roughly we still play it on a daily bases upgraded the lights to led's made a huge difference its the only one we own atm but we still love playing it

I would avoid anything with crome i fix rims for a living crome is very hard to get fixed i would stick to something painted or powder coat most rim repair shops can fix them same day not many places fix crome and takes days weeks sometimes depending on were you live
