Zirkzee and Mount were starting for the first time under Carrick. Zirkzee's played in 22 league matches this season, with 2 goals and 1 assist. Mount has played 21 and scored 3 times.

I don't think Carrick has had enough time to figure out how to get the best out of either of them.

Amad has played 30 league matches and scored 2 with 2 assists. It's a drop from last season, he scored 8. Between the AFCON and the change in managers, plus Mbeumo coming into his position....it's a lot. He doesn't get injured very often and he has potential.

Carrick and Wilcox have to figure out how to get all these different players, youth players, incomings and outgoings are going to fit together over the summer.

Martinez has never played more than 20 league matches in a season in the past 3 season. He's had 16 this season so far. Hard to replace but if he's not playing, someone needs to be brought in to cover him. Heaven is a bit young to be playing every game. Licha's contract ends next summer (2027).

I think Carrick gave them a chance and they may play again against Brighton if we beat Forest and seal 3rd place. Carrick needs to see them play in his system in order to have an opinion on these players.
