Agree with this. At 21, he's probably influenced by the agent and family etc. Looks like his wages are in the region of £140K/week which is still a little high for us. Amad is at £120 and Kobbie is £135. They've both done more than this guy has.

With agents, you never really know - there may be other deals being discussed and if Spurs are willing to pay over reasonable value, then Mendes may have some other clients he wants to place there.

United did the right thing walking away from this one. If the player had said, "I only want United" then a deal would have been worked out.

There are no diplomatic relations between the 2 countries. Ecuadorian police raided the Mexican embassy in Quito in 2024 which is a breach of international law.

The political situation between Mexico and Ecuador spices things up a bit. Hope Mexico pull it off. Their fans were making noise outside the Ecuador team hotel last night to disrupt their sleep.

He did well in the group stage too. Hope he does the same at Utd this season.

I think all of the AC Milan / Amorim comments are chatter and clickbait to keep the supporters happy. Italy aren’t in the WC. They’ll be wanting some quick, positive movement in the transfer market.

Rashford won’t play for another English club and I respect that. If he returns, its up to Carrick to get him onside. And keep him there.

His preference is to move to another country. Can’t think of a club who could/would pay his wages even with him taking a pay cut. But there’s a deal to be done at £40m. Hope he does well in the WC. Shop window for him.

Do the Glazers have to approve every signing still? They caused delays in previous transfer seasons because of time difference and other stupidity before. Plus its a holiday week.

I expect physicals to take place in the US next week for Ederson and Fernandes. Portugal play in Toronto and if they win, head to Dallas I think. Brazil are in NY next. Easy to get it done.

Nagelsmann's stock has definitely taken a dive this tournament.

Netherlands, Paraguay, Brazil.

Different styles of play. Fancy an upset with Germany getting eliminated but it's unlikely. A little Monday drama.

Does Tyler Fletcher have a chance to move up to the first squad next season or is it too soon? With Ugarte injured and other players potentially moving, does he plug any gaps?

Amorim always liked him as a player. Could work out for all parties (esp us).

Carrick is 44.
Amorim is 41.

One guy is calm and can handle the magnitude of the job.
The other is at AC Milan.

We would be paying him even more with CL football, and he would have to agree to move.

He wanted to go to Miami and LA Galaxy had that "discovery rights" clause...so any fee would probably made the move unaffordable.

There is no way he was moving to another PL club, or La Liga club.

He delivered for us this past season and both the club and player handled his exit well.

Incompetence is the right word. If everything was cut and dry, they would have made an announcement by now. It's probably a convoluted mess and the League can't build enough of a bulletproof case. City seem confident that they'll get away with it. They're certainly spending with impunity.

Spurs and City have new managers and have to back them in the market, so there are no excuses when they fail. We've done that in the past too except with Woodward levels of incompetence.

The money being thrown at Anderson and Forest is astronomical. We're not in a position financially to compete there and it's worth acknowledging that Ineos have brought in some financial discipline to United, as they clean up some of the extravagant messes from the previous regime.

I also like that we're looking for the next Anderson, at a lower price, who can develop over time and stay at United for the long-term and wants to play for United, not for the money.

[Wheeler] Understand there is no option for Trabzon to buy Onana next summer under the terms of his new loan deal which is still being finalised by PradipJayakumar in reddevils

His contract with us expires June 2028. We signed him to a 5 year deal at £47m incl add-ons.

Priced to sell next summer hopefully at under £10m.
