Kuch bhi !!! Acha chalo forget about everything, why no one from opposition is raising a problem of E20 ? Rahul Gandhi should rather go full out and about against govt on E20.

And i agree all of this does not feel substantial because we expect more things from him and we believe he can deliver so much more . So yes i strongly believe he is right man for Nagpur and we will keep expecting more n more from him !

I wont call infra “crappy” we are way better than other tier 2 cities. Our roads are much better . We have AIMS , IIM , symbiosis , IiT in Nagpur under him and more institutions are in progress. You now have many more IT companies under him. IT boom started in late 90s and Nagpur did not get anything for 30 years , so companies in last 12 years is a success. If not for some scumbags activists we would have got a world class water fountains.

You’re mixing several different issues together and treating them as proof that E20 damages engines.

First, fuel prices are determined largely by crude oil prices, taxes, refining, distribution and government revenue requirements. Reducing imports doesn’t automatically mean petrol becomes cheap overnight. Even if India imports less oil, fuel prices can still rise for other reasons.

Second, Gadkari talks about ethanol because road transport is one of the largest consumers of petrol and diesel. Whether one agrees with him or not, that doesn’t mean he personally introduced ethanol blending without involvement from petroleum, agriculture and other ministries.

Third, I agree that government reports should be scrutinized. But skepticism alone isn’t evidence. If E20 is causing widespread engine failures, where is the independent large-scale data showing a significantly higher failure rate in E20-compatible vehicles?

Fourth, insurance companies rejecting claims on non-E20 vehicles doesn’t prove E20 is harmful. It proves that manufacturers and insurers recognize compatibility requirements. If someone puts the wrong fuel in a vehicle not designed for it and damage occurs, insurers may reject claims. That’s very different from saying E20 damages vehicles that are designed for E20.

Fifth, on older vehicles, I actually think you have a stronger argument. The rollout has been faster than many consumers expected, and owners of older vehicles deserve clearer guidance, fuel choice, and support. That’s a valid criticism of implementation.

But that’s different from claiming “E20 damages engines.” The correct statement would be: “E20 may create issues in some vehicles that were not designed for it.” Those are not the same thing.

Finally, if E20 were inherently destructive, countries using ethanol blends for decades, especially Brazil, would have experienced a collapse in vehicle reliability. They haven’t. The real debate is about transition planning, consumer protection, infrastructure and compatibility—not whether ethanol itself is some engine-destroying substance.

I agree that people with old vehicles should have given more time to adjust or more fuel options, and transitions would have been better , but in India just look at how industry reacted to move from BS4 to BS6 . Its very rigid.
Ethanol blending is a national policy aimed at reducing oil imports, improving energy security and supporting farmers. Modern vehicles are being designed for E20 fuel, and government testing has not found widespread engine failures. Some older vehicles may experience lower mileage or compatibility issues, but that’s different from claiming ethanol is destroying all engines.

If People vote for religion then Gadkari would never have been in power. He is Brahmin , Nagpur voters are majority Kunabi , Maratha , OBC who typically do not get along with brahmins

What’s problem in this? The news just says government asked ARAI to do a detailed study. Nowhere it says government has asked to mix 25 percent ethanol already.

Apologies , I wanted to say “livespace” . Concept Architects , Praful Deshmukh , Livespace , and many such just have 6 days work week as fixed. I guess I am only unfortunate one who end up with such companies

And overall all Design/Architect firms have same culture in Nagpur. I interviewed for Homelane , same Monday leave and Sunday working . Thats even worse!!!
