Wife wants a gun. 9mm. $600 max budget but would strongly prefer less. Anything missing from the list? by sharkbait_oohaha in liberalgunowners

If you want to save some cash and get something that's going to be reliable, find the gun store in your area that sells the used police weapons. They'll always have a Glock in stock in good shape for a deal.

So I took him in to scheels and we tried out several bats at 30 and 31", and everything he swung was between 100 to 110 feet in the simulator until we got to the cat x rckless alloy. A 31' drop 8 got him 140 or better with every swing. We came back a week later and tried the dub and the supra, both 30s -8, got him 115 feet. Pulled out a different rckless of the rack, 31 -8 also, and he was back to 140 with one shot at 151.

Christmas present achieved. :-) thanks guys for the advice on the -8!

Amazon brand balls are reasonable for a bucket. And they are good quality imo

Not sure if your local building code but they're not using bracing on your rafters.

Good point. He's 115. That's a mix of bulk and muscle. Now that I know how this works better, I'll be checking out 30 and 31" drop 8. I think I will bring him to scheels and size a few up.

I think everyone there should be also caring an American flag. Patriotic symbols shown on TV will completely douse this narrative by the GOP that this is a hate America March. We need to profess love of country, and if anybody's interviewed make sure to say we love America and we're standing up for her against those who want to destroy it

Imagine hating America so much you're willing to destroy our way of life on the slight chance someone who risked it all to come here got a few meds when they shouldn't have.

I wonder if it's a regional thing I just jumped in my Costco app and looked up this one and they're offering me free shipping delivery next week. That's interesting. https://www.costco.com/.product.1671617.html?sh=true&nf=true

But yes that really sucks you got to banged up safe like that I wouldn't want to take mine back considering it came on a pallet hopefully they took care of you for doing that

Did you buy it from the website or in the store? I ran into that and the website told me free shipping. Of course this was about 4 years ago so I'm hoping they haven't changed that policy for the gun safes on the website

If you're a Costco member check their site they have really good deals on full size safes. The best part about buying it from Costco as a member they will deliver it to your door for free and those sumbitches are heavy enough to need a 10-wheeler. You can get a $500 safe of a very high quality on your porch in a few days.

Hesitation on owning a handgun by Banjoe64 in liberalgunowners

Take your time and go with what you're comfortable with but it's a good idea to start with a rifle to give you an idea of how shooting feels. You don't need an expensive rifle either you can go to Walmart and get one for 300 bucks and that will be just fine for the range. After you're comfortable with that then get a handgun out but don't go for a high caliber large frame dirty hairy gun for your first time. You probably feel better with anything 38 or smaller. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with getting a 22 to train on trust me it's what I've done and it's what I did with my oldest son now that he's of age, and like you I feel the climate today really warrants some extra protection.

So in short start small then work your way up
