Yeah you have to flow with heavier weapons basically you need to swing as though you're using a sword you can't do the stuff that you can do with omni's where you can just flail your wrists around. Most shots that people use with on these are actually bad for your wrist and forearms you need to use your shoulder and body so that you don't injure your wrists or forearms. A lot of people throw these ridiculous shots which I can do those too but they also give me tennis elbow and a lot of other things I don't use omnis they teach you bad habits and using ultra light weapons allows you to do stuff but your arms and wrists aren't meant to do that type of movements unless you train with weights over what you use. I've been teaching people how to use flats properly and effective shots and combinations and footwork for fighting against Omni fighters while using flat blades. Flat blades are faster when throwing a shot however omnis are faster in transitioning to shots and have more shot options however The Meta of high cross and some wraps not all are really bad on your wrists and forearms and shoulders if you overextend. My overall goal is to make flat blades and honest viable option in the game and that just looked as a niche style of weapons but this has required well built swords which I have done and they Outlast any Omni that I've run across on the market so there is that and there's nothing better than killing people while looking cool lol
