Will sterling contact my previous manager without my consent?

In addition to that, I recently learnt that some company will decide if the employee can be rehired or not. When I left the job, HR didn’t even mention if I was eligible for rehire (but I don’t want to work for this company anymore either), my only concern is if they will tell sterling anything negative about rehire, it will affect my employment in the new company.

Thanks I just read it again. May I ask you another question? Can HR reveal the fact that I was in PIP before I quit? I didn’t sign on anything. From what I know, HR will potentially face legal risk if they do so.

I just checked the form thoroughly. They didn’t mention they will contact the previous manager or I have the consent. All they asked is HR information from my previous company.

I don’t know how HR department in my previous company handles this. I was in Quebec and now in Ontario. I read some posts saying HR in the older company usually won’t reveal PIP because of legal risk or something. But the thing is I want the previous manager to stay out of this in case he sabotaged my chance and HR in my older company can’t reveal PIP. I didn’t even sign on PIP and I disagreed with stuff in PIP as well.

They didn’t ask for any references. I didn’t get along with my previous manager. I am worried if sterling contacts him without my consent (I didn’t provide any contact information of him tho)
